nitinbwj Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 In the promos of cricket extra for WC.Mayanti's name is mentioned.I think she would host pre/post match shows along with other experts.Mandira Bedi was never a commentator.Would miss Uncle Lal though ..:)

Sachin=GOD Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Why does Pakistan have three commentators and India just two? both of them have 3: India - Shashtri, Gavaskar and Harsha Bhogle. Papistan - Ramiz, Wasim and Manjerekar
Cricketics Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Charu Sharma is nowhere in the reckoning? I believe Charu with Mandira would do a 03 style world cup from our Janta in India :) Glad we won't get that coverage here.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I believe Charu with Mandira would do a 03 style world cup from our Janta in India :) Glad we won't get that coverage here. I hope and pray that it does not happen Till date I have'nt seen Chatu Sharma in any program of ESPN, so I'm hoping that the pre-match show will have some sensible person like Alan Wilkins or Harsha Bhogle.
Zelig Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I like Wilko, particularly when he wields the mic along side Vijay Amritraj.
flamy Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 What? No Arun Lal. Now people can watch all the games on mute. And by the way what ever happened with Ganguly? I heard he was trying to get in as a commentator. Do not tell me he got snubbed even here. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
flamy Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I like Wilko' date=' particularly when he wields the mic along side Vijay Amritraj.[/quote'] ghey

Prudent Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 I think Tony Greig will be there too' date='saw it in WC ad[/quote'] As per Harsha...Tony Greig,Sidhu & Ganguly will be with him in the Studio for discussion...not sure they will be doing commentary. http://twitter.com/#!/bhogleharsha/status/34251228137394176
Ram Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Before commenting on who’s on it, its such a relief to see sell-out Siva’s name NOT figure in the list. He can now comment on the distances and heights of high balls, or promote Karbonn mobiles, from the comforts of his living room. :yay: And since Gavaskar’s is there on the list, I guess they don’t need to hire a dedicated statistician since the man himself will do a more than admirable job of keeping track of 50s and 100s.
gaurav92 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Some names that will be missed Alan Wilkins Michael Slater Mark Nicholas Sir Richie Benaud Jeremy Coney Uncle Lal :sniffle:
Shane Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 No Siva, No Lal, No Ranjit, No Definiiiiitely The WC has already started on the right note. Commentators who would be missed, Tony Greg, David Gower, Mark Nicholas, Ian Smith
