At one time in the 6th or 7th over when Tendulkar too a risky over the top boundary off Rehman, it looked like Sehwag went and calmed Tendulkar down. He was pacing his innings, took a lot of 1s and 2s and slower 100 (in Sehwag's terms). Played 50 overs almost. It's great to have him like this in Tendulkar mode, it's early to call, but he showed signs of it today. Who doesn't like to see Sehwag like this. Sehwag 2.0 or is it because Tendulkar got out early? tendulkar's run out was his own fault i thought sehwag worked really hard for his runs. only 14 fours in a huge innings of 175. he usually hits that many in his regular ODI hundreds very strogn running between the wickets today. kohli repeatedly pushed him for doubles and he responded easily. sehwag should always try to play himself in, once he goes past 30-40, he can smash bowlers to pieces.

Is this the longest he has batted in an ODI innings? Looking at the way he played in the warm ups and today, he does look serious on his resolve to bat longer. Even Sachin or Gambhir havent gone berserk in the PP over. Perhaps the team has decided to play normal cricket (which on these pitches 5 to 5.5 runs an over) till 25-30 overs and launch an assault after that. Looks ominous.

But Tendulkar should have known that Sehwag was not looking or interested in the run after say, 3 steps. Tendulkar took 7,8 steps and never looked like stopping. That was suicidal. I would blame Tendulkar mostly.

I can sacrifice My days work to see Sehwag 2.0 than Sehwag 1.0. If Sehwag 2.0 can play even 75% to his Potential we would regularly end up for 270-280 score.

Sometimes you don't even call, jsut run with your partner. Sehwag was guilty of watching the ball. Have you seen Sehwag and Gambhir run. Most of the times its through their eyes. It was bound to happen with Sehwag I guess. He can only improve from here. These things happen all the time in cricket. So no big deal. Good thing is that Sehwag took the responsibility and played a mature knock.
