vvvslaxman Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I think MSD has regretted even here that he went with Sreesanth !!!
Guest Gunner Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Fineleg :hehe: Why are you laughing? I can bump up your stupid thread about dhoni as well, shall I?
Zap_Brannigan Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Dhoni is a bonafide great but lets not turn his mistakes into anything else.

fineleg Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 Stubborn mule :hatsoff: Ashwin, Ishant Sharma and Vinay Koomar UNCHANGED :)
fineleg Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 He may score runs as a batsman, but as a mule while selecting playing 11 (or bowling certain bowlers like Kohli) - he is unparalleled. Stubborn is thy middle name. Or should the word stubborn be replaced with foolish?
express bowling Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Dhoni is the greatest ODI batsman I have ever seen but he is the worst captain as far as talent spotting goes. He just does not seem to understand which players can succeed in internationals. He just prefers experience.

nitinbwj Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Now that pissant has pissed on his heroics he might use the blades of his helicopter to cut his hair once and for all.
youngindia Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 stubbornness has actually served many a successful men good.almost all of them will tell you that they all clung on to their ambitions and ideas when all others were naysayers.that's precisely why you see them stubborn. but you will have to choose your issues. reappraisals can prevent calamity in some cases.today many foresee that the continued inclusion of ishant and vinay was going to cause more problems than its worth. dhoni probably thought these are short term issues he can fix it in match or too and he came close to his objective.but the cracks were too visible to paper over for too long. the problems are long term. ishant's form is not good enough for the whole season. he has to sort out his action and way of thinking top to bottom. for vinay, I don't think there is any cure. he just lacks cricketing brilliance however hard he tries. the inclusion of shami or unadkat may or may not give different results.but here is a purpose to it. they need exposure.albeit earlier than anyone would have liked. but there was no purpose to the continued inclusion of ishant. he has to go back to the drawing board.
GautiMaan Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 He was stubborn with Jadeja, stubborn with Rohit and these seem to be paying of. But pissant is beyond help and i hope Dhoni has finally seen this.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 U have to question how good a captain dhoni really is when he repeatedly picks bowlers like him... They must be taking money on the side, there is no other explanation.
express bowling Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 If they finally decide to drop Ishant and Vinay ( A VERY BIG IF ) then it is important that correct bowlers are chosen because once someone gets a chance, no matter how bad he is, he would play on and on.
saneindian Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 In the morning, on Hindi commentary, when asked what would he have don with the bowlers, Ganguly thoroughly supported Dhoni's decision of going with the same team. Said this is how players are made and gave the examples of Dhoni backing Kohli, Jadeja etc. His point was because he has seen these players do well after being backed for long, he's doing the same with the bowlers. Said this could be the last chance for Ishant and Vinay though. If they dont perform others have to come in. Most likely a story selection committee meeting going on now to pick the side for next 4 ODIs.
