Switchblade Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 The guy needs helpful conditions to take wickets guys like SWANN TREDWELL were taking wickets at this venue this guy cant
asterix Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Give any other spinner as many games as he has got. Bet they will return with better stats I disagree..There's no bowler in India at present who can take Bhajji's place. As Dhoni has mentioned earlier, he is a BIG match player. And I agree with Dhoni..Just wait how Bhajji performs in the QF..
The Realist Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Bhajji? Wtf? If there is any nickname this joker deserves its "Imposter" Always plays despite continously awful performances. Has been finished for years as most other players and teams have known yet is still picked.

Hell Raiser Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 We need to bring back Sir Jadeja.:woot::woot::woot: He will be our saviour.:ridinghorse:

ViruRulez Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Have great respect for Bhajji but to be frank he has taken his position for granted as a spinner. He has not been performing with the ball for a long time and has hogged the spinner spot. I have always said Ojha is a quality spinner but he never got his due. Ojha has outperformed Bhajji in almost all matches he has played. Ashwin is also quite good as a young spinner. To be fair to everyone including the domestic spinners and our backups I would drop Bhajji for sometime after the world cup so that he can get back his skills for which he came to be known as one of the best spinners in the world in the early 2000s. He has turned from a quality spinner to a dart thrower. We have been traditionally one of the best sides in the world in producing spinners and we should not let spinners also become our weakness. Give Ojha and Ashwin the spinner spot in the next few series and drop Bhajji. All players who have been dropped for sometime have returned as better players and I am sure Bhajji would also do so. It is just that he has taken his spot for granted now and become a bit too defensive for a spinner. In the present form, even domestic spinners would outperform Bhajji in most games.

pensionplan Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Bhajji? Wtf? If there is any nickname this joker deserves its "Imposter" How about Thappad Singh? Always plays despite continously awful performances. Has been finished for years as most other players and teams have known yet is still picked.Well it helps to be in the inner circles of Indian cricket for one. Apart from that there is no rational explanation on him being the No.1 choice as a spinner in Tests, ODI's and 20-20.
hari504504 Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 "Drop harbhajan ?" .. Sure...preferably on his head. From what height is the question...
jpkonline Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 bhajji will perform well in away condition he bowls well when there is more bounce on the pitch in subcontinent there is less bounce wait and watch bhajji will rock when we go on away tours
King Tendulkar Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 In the last game Bhaji as is very often had the best economy rate of all our bowlers. And his been one of the tightest bowlers for us in WC. As its odis that very good stuff. Yes more wickets would be bonus but keeping lid on things is very important.
spectre Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Great expectation from the so called 'No:1 Indian spinner' :yay: when spinners from other teams are taking bag full of wickets, here is a dart thrower who is so content on keeping it tight. No good spinner can come up till this 'behind-the-scenes' bowler continues to play. In the last game Bhaji as is very often had the best economy rate of all our bowlers. And his been one of the tightest bowlers for us in WC. As its odis that very good stuff. Yes more wickets would be bonus but keeping lid on things is very important.
dangerman85 Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 why after world cup? i say drop him before world cup ends otherwise we may drop the cup
Prakat Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Harbhajan is another guy who is riding on reputation. He has always been average in ODIs and recently been quite poor. Ojha is the best spinner in India right now. I wonder why he is sidelined. Ojha got jinxed. :antijinx:
fineleg Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Drop the guy throwing darts! Enough! Nonsense by bhajji! Drop him, hopefully our blood won't boil.
King Tendulkar Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 He had the best economy rate of all the front line bowlers. Anyway carry on your blind hate
vvvslaxman Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 He had the best economy rate of all the front line bowlers. Anyway carry on your blind hate Unless he bowls a spell of 10 overs 20 runs 0 wickets.. this Economy argument won't hold. He didn't have to bowl bulk of overs in power play like Ashwin or Zak. His economy was safe because others took wickets regularly.
