And if I am not wrong, Dhoni usually elects to bat first so chances of Ind batting first could be high Ofc this is assuming that dew won't be a huge factor. If dew is suppose to be a huge factor than one should bowl first as it becomes quite easy to bat Please use the poll! PS this is not abt who will win the toss or what should Ind do if it wins the toss. This is abt who you see batting first :winky:

And if I am not wrong, Dhoni usually elects to bat first so chances of Ind batting first could be high Its true they've won their last two games chasing, but I think they would have thrashed WI either way - WI were pretty ordinary against the major teams in the World Cup. Before that they lost to NZ chasing (by 100+ runs) and beat Lanka batting first. So that leaves the Aus game where they won batting second, though even then they had their jitters while chasing a low target. Given the importance of this game, I don't see Afridi choosing to bowl.

And because it's a day-night match the dew will come into play only in the second innings.

Big match. batting first means.. pressure straight away. They have no clue about how to go about setting their target. I have to say Sohaib Malik was one guy who does it very well for them. They don't have him now. So they will opt to bat second either way.
