ludhianvi Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Dhoni saved his best for the finals. Promoted himself up the order and boy did he deliver in the finals of the WC. He himself stated that he had a point to prove to himself and it worked perfectly for him. Stitched the matchwinning partnership along with Gambhir. Winning the Cup would be even more satisfying as he was a bit short of runs and got the Man of the Award. Apart from being the captain and doing the man-management bit, it really helps if you're scoring runs and his innings is forever etched in history as a special one. Finished off the match in the stylish manner with a six as he has done a few times before and then twirled his bat around. Reminded me of an earlier match when he had held the bat as gun and this seemed a continuation of that. Superb Also, did you guys notice that he also wore the sleeveless shirt/jersey when collecting the t20 WC 2007 and he did the same in 2011. Yippee Dhoni 2007 2011
