Sachin Tendulkar - what next ?

So hes broken all the records. Is termed as the best batsman of the Era. Now has finally won the World Cup, and we could see what that meant to him last night. Now what is the motivation for such a great man and I'm speaking of ODI crikcet ofcourse.. I think he should play tests for a few more years because he is SIGNIFICANT when it comes to playing tests abroad. Yesterday we saw that now days even when Sachin doesn't fire, we have a good enough team to chase down totals.. i dont know if we can do that in away pitches.. but i believe we can with technically solid players like Kohli, Gauti and even Yuvi in the lineup.. I also hope Dhoni makes that number 4 or 5 hes permanent spot in the ODI lineup. SO what next for Sachin in ODI's?.. isn't it time to call it a day?.. and hang up the boots?.. i mean?.. what could be the next MOTIVATION factor?.. im sure he wont play for 4 more years and go down-under for one more world cup win... i think if Sachin cant go 4 more years, it is really time to Call it a day and just focus on Test Cricket.. and that circus IPL... what say?..

I think he needs 2 more hundreds for 50odi hundreds...I know records are not imp but why not? Either wy he can play selective odis for India when we tour overseas for sometime since it will help team Indias cause. But for tests, he is good for 3 or so yrs for sure. BUT ULTIMATE CHOICE LIES WITH HIM ONLY

Winning a test series in Australia and South Africa ? We have come close many times and we have been on top recently but we havent yet managed to win the series. India should try and do it before Zaheer, Dravid, Laxman, Sachin retire because new guys will take some time to get used to the conditions in Aus and SA and it wont be easy for them.

Enjoy the remaining days of his cricketing career. He's achieved all the biggest feats, he can take it easy, chase a few more records/big numbers, play some exciting innings etc.... The media has an important role. They have to keep the pressure off him, enjoy his cricket, and let him look back at the last few years as the relaxing years where he enjoyed himself and treated us to some more sublime strokes and moments of brilliance.

I just had a vision. Tendulkar is old, maybe 50. He still looks fit. He isn't in the line-up, but they keep in in the squad. They're cruising, the match is in their pocket. They make a fielding substitution, Tendulkar in, Kohli out. Tendulkar walks in, the crowd goes crazy, they're screaming for him. The younger players are in awe. The ball goes to third man, Tendulkar picks it up, the crowd is ecstatic, they can't get enough of Tendulkar. End vision.

this reminds me of what happened to hayden. He was having a rough patch against SA and the australian thought they had a good enough relacement (the young kid cant remember his name). So the media basically bullied hayden into retiring before the ashes even though he said he wanted to play the series. He went to to be the highest scorer in the ipl and i really believe if he had been there australia would have won the ashes
