BeautifulGame Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Looks like he has got his inswinger back . Consistently swung the ball both ways and Looks very impressive today . If he continues like this it wont be long before he is back in the national colours .
ViruRulez Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Too early to comment. Liked his control and swing but he needs to work on his pace. At 120s he would be terrible against a good international hitter. Need at least 130+ to be effective and be selected as a bowler only.

If he can sustain this with accuracy he could very well back in the side. He has plenty of room for improvement still. But he will provide incredible balance to our side.

He will be playing on much flatter pitches as the IPL progresses. That is where the real test comes. Infact all fast bowlers will be challenged there. But Not all fast bowlers are looking to return to the national side. So Irfan has to make an effort. I wish him well.

If he can bowl well like today ( not great ) and bat like he did in the last IPL then we will still a genuine all rounder in our hands for ODI and T20s

Infact some of the choices are worse than Irfan.

It swings too early with that grip. Akram messed with him, that is akrams grip, he cant be akram who stronger n genuine quick

Akram was never as round arm as Irfan has become. Akram also never had a locked wrist as Irfan has. He swung it late.
