Pietersen falls to left-arm spin on return

after seeing the ineptitude of these english and saffers batsmen against the slightest bit of turn in the recent odi series in india (headless chickens:hehe: come to mind or maybe instantaneous combustion is a more apt description), i struggle to see england winning or even drawing tbh any tests matches. they might win one or two odis though. there hopes rely on a lone irishman, who is their best spin player.

I think you are getting ODI's and Tests really confused at the moment. England don't struggle to play spin. England struggle to attack and to milk spinners. Cook and Trott will unfortunately be happy to chug along at 2-3 runs an over dapping quick singles off the spinners and block out the rest of the balls. Kevin Pietersen is a very good player of spin, as is Ian Bell and Prior. England are dreadful playing against spin in ODI's because they don't know how to get the balance right. Actually, they're pretty damn crap at ODI's in general. The worlds #1 test team with a 0.68 win to loss ratio in ODI's is pretty embarrassing and hiliarious for the rest of us.

England have played well in tests in India recently, just ODI's we suck. If it wasnt for a great Sehwag innings at Chennai england would have probably won that test and series.

Pace or spin, don't underestimate Cook/Strauss/Trott/Bell in the longer version. You know what, Vinay Kooomarrrr had a good odi series, doesn't mean England can't handle him in tests.

I'll back recently consistent Pakistan side to beat English 1-0 or at least dominate in 0-0 draw. The spoilsport ofcourse will be the dead pitches of UAE were you can play for 10 days without result. But if this is the home series of pakistan, they should take liberty of preparing turners which will make 2-0 a very high possibility. About time to bring these English back to earth. As for ODI and T20 it will be a massacre by Pak.

If that were to happen, Swann & Panesar would trouble Pakistan, that's another good contest though with Rehman & Ajmal in form.
