Anonymous Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Of all the cases Jaiprakash case is the most bone chilling case i have heard of. That guy said 100vathu naal Tamil movie was his inspiration (100 days in Hindi..a terrible remake). Never heard of that case..What was that all about? Was this during the 90s..
vvvslaxman Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Never heard of that case..What was that all about? Was this during the 90s.. He killed 9 of his own family members and then tried to build a house to bury them on the walls like in the movie. A mentally disturbed person who killed even children. Another case was Navarasu case a medical college student murdered a junior (vice chancellor's son) then hacked him into different pieces and packed in couple of suit cases and threw it in different places. But he got acquitted after 4 years on the following reasons "it was doubtful that the accused took the deceased into the room, assaulted him and when he became unconscious, had severed his head and limbs and parcelled it in two suitcases and had thrown the skull into a canal and carried the torso to chennai. it was highly impossible that the above acts of severing and cutting the body could have been done in his room without being noticed by any other inmate of the hostel, the bench added." Most believed Jayalalitha was behind his acquittal.

Infact, my classmate's cousin was apparently in the same year as John David. They had stench emanating from his room after the night of the murder as IIRC the killers had left Navarasu's hand in the room in haste. It was absolutely horruble.
1983-2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Why is Casey Anthony trial on TV? Why is Casey Anthony trial on TV? may be ICFers from America will be able to tell me this. she is accused of murdering her daughter but why does it need to get televised, shouldn't it be left to jurors, judge, defense and prosecution lawyers and just call in witnesses. do other trials also get televised in America? is it like reality TV for them over there?
Cricketics Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 She is the most popular lady in America rite now. More than Hilary Clinton or Michelle Obama or Angelina Jolie. She killer her little daugther and kept lying to police about how her daughter was lost or something.
punjabi_khota Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Ofcourse, it is left to jurors and judge to decide the case. The public can see it on tv, but they can see any court case, all they have to do is walk into the court while the case is on. There may be some cases where its not allowed but most of them are open to public. Hence, no big deal if cameras are there. TV channels would obviously want to cover the most high profile cases.
zubinpepsi Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 the last day of the trail... Casey will know if shes gonna burn or rot in jail.. eitherway there seems to be no escape for her.. there r live streams all over the internet to see the trial live..
Alchemist Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 After this there will be Amanda Knox. That case has been going on for ever in Italy. And Nancy grace is going gaga over how italian law is bad and how US should step in.
Cricketics Posted July 5, 2011 Author Posted July 5, 2011 Nancy Grace overreacts a lot, though she is very knowledgeable. I don't know if you guys know about, but other than being a popular Journalist, she has been a prosecutor and a quite famous one. Though I hate how she tries to put people down, but she makes sense often. Btw Alchemist, most awaited one here in U.S is the Michael Jackson murder trial. I think it's in October

I think it's in October I think the story about Nancy Grace is that her Fiance or Boyfriend was murdered. And that made her take law and bring justice to unfortunate. MJ would definitely be big. But Amanda Knox has been going on for long now. Add the whole flirty side of Knox and it becomes a best selling novel or most watched LMN movies of the year. :haha:
Rajiv Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 ^^ Typical American Drama TV, big murder case and everyone watches it like a reality show
Cricketics Posted July 5, 2011 Author Posted July 5, 2011 At office everyone is pretty keen. All shouting now - VERDICT IN 5 MINS. Finally this thing is going to end
Dravid Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 USA USA USA USA all these years of BS for nothing :hahaha:
zubinpepsi Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I agree with the verdict.. i think they have reached the correct verdict...
Cricketics Posted July 5, 2011 Author Posted July 5, 2011 She kept lying and lying but there was no proof that she really murdered. I think it was at tend may be right. She won't go scott free though. Lot of other charges will be definately plaed on her like keeping the child away. There will be definately over 10-15 different kind of charges. Like lying police and stuff like that
dial_100 Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Strange...ghor kaliyug...what kind of mother does not report her missing daughter for over a month??? At least she knows who killed her daughter but when everything is followed by judiciary system and there is always possibility when prosecution do not put up strong evidence. She only has 4 valid charges left now which is misinformation to law enforcement which will be prosecuted..
cowboysfan Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 ****. She got off free!!!! :omg: :WTF: right decision for me,there was no evidence of murder.
