@VVS you say he is not special and pace does not make him special. Look at this video and look at the dismissal of Rohit Sharma. You do not see many good batsman out like that. It was sheer pace in the air and off the pitch and this is Jaipur, this pitch was the slowest and lowest bounce pitch in IPL, which was played straight after this devdhar trophy. Matches were shifted to another pitch once SRT complained about the slowness of the pitch. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq1MWyXDDm4]‪Varun Aaron 5 wicket haul against West Zone (Deodhar Trophy 2011) short hilites‬‏ - YouTube[/ame] At 21-22 years of age he can bowl like that and if he stays fit, in 1-2 years time, he can be interesting bowler to watch out for and you were saying he does not move the ball, look at the balls to Abhishak Nayar and Iqbal Abdulla which moved away after pitching and this spell was bowled mostly with the old ball.

Real quality international batsmen would not play rubbishly like that. Is this the spell you are having orgasm over? Our standard of expectation has hit the rock bottom.

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: I hope he gets picked. He will be smashed to pieces and then we can have an end to this hype

Most of those batsmen got out playing rash shot. No proper feet movement and swing the bat. :giggle:

@vvs i posted this vdieo to show you the dismissal of rohit sharma, nothing, and when i showed he gets movement you said he will be thrashed at ingernational level. Tell me one bowler who has not been thrashed. I am not even talking about picking him now

My arguement is he is one of the brightest prospect in india right now and must be groomed. He mah not be international class bowler right now, but he has all thw ingredients to be one. Really, some people here are happy to have vinay kumar in the team.

@Sachinism This is not hype. It is the potential which i see in him. Think logically, we have vinay kumar in the team, who neither is an international class bowler now and will never be. He will play at the mostl one odi in this series...Continue.....

And vinay is just waste of space. Instead of wasting a place for a bowler who can never be a strikei bowler or international class bowler we must keep likes of aaron with the team and groom him and play one odd dead rubber odi for experience.

This is how players are groomed. Genuine fas bowlers are rare finds, but if people are happy with trundlers who too are no good then with this mentality, we will never have good fast bowling pool.

Nah, we will infuse our line up with trundlers and make the opposition ----> :hysterical: at team India .... Mental battle will already been won because of the great Indian trundlers :P

It appears as if some Indian fans have taken pace means little too seriously from their possible debates with Paki fans Bhai debating with Paki fans is a different story, but taking what you debate and convincing yourself about effectiveness of trundlers in tests is .... :P

Rett how many non trundler bowlers do we have currently?
More important question is why do we keep producing and encouraging these trundlers. We have a few folks who can bowl fast, we don't encourage them and on top of that come up with stuff like "they will be smashed" .... We can see what that line of thinking has done our bowling attack to (even the word attack looks out of place) If you know where to look, you know the answer to your question.

I agree that a cultural change is required, but that doesnt happen overnight. We are not going to have a Lee or Tait or Steyn within the next 4-5 years at the least. Atleast for now we need to make do with what we got. I dont agree with your blanket statement that a trundler is simply ineffective in Test cricket, thats too harsh a generalization. If a 80 mph bowler is able to swing it both ways, he will be effective in test cricket as well, maybe not always but atleast in helpful conditions.

We need a good mix of bowlers.Felt Zaheer Ishanth and praveen/Sree was a good mix but wasnt the fittest mix.

You need to have some skill to be a successfull bowler at the international level. People seems to be very happy with vinay and rp who bowl @ 125ks with no swing. Now we should know the reason why indians dont wanna be fast bowlers because we come with arguments like bowling phaaaast is not everything, line and length is more imp blah blah blah....:finger:

That's been the mantra for years .... and we see what that has brought us to :(( When we see a guy like PK opening our bowling attack, we should feel pathetic .... But instead we justify his inclusion and the same thing continues, i.e. lets play the trundlers because we don't have options. The fast bowlers get sidelined and the need for speed takes a back seat .... If even a trundler like PK can open Ind's attack, why would you want to bowl fast .... On the other hand, if you need to bowl fast to be a part of India's seamers attacks, you would want to bowl fast In order to have the psychological change, I would rather give exposure to quick bowlers (even at the risk of them getting hit around) than have likes of PK open our pace attack I may make blanket statements but it takes a lot more to understand their depth (I don't expect most folks to understand its depth because many of those who are capable of understanding the depth wouldn't waste their time on onlline forums.)
