Andy Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Without doing much he is back again, he will be dropped again. Why we keep bringing these Proven Failures. Try some club level unknown bowlers, they cant do any bad than these bowlers.
Andy Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 POOR First over, lacks attitude and the fire.
ganeshran Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Will we be able to get 5 English wickets in the whole innings? :nervous:
cameron_black Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 who's this chubby impostor? that's not RP!
rkt.india Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 who's this chubby impostor? that's not RP! This is Chaarpy:giggle:
kabira Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 IF Tremlett and Anderson were bowling for India, we would seen a thread like Tremlett another trundler.... Anderson...one more to trundler club. Difference between our bowler and their bowler is consistency...and keeping the pressure, nothing more

Anderson...one more to trundler club. Difference between our bowler and their bowler is consistency...and keeping the pressure, nothing more Tremlett is 6 feet 8 and is not really trundler is fast medium. Anderson swings at pace. RP is not even able to touch those speeds, forget being consistent. You may not bowl fastest but still you can put some effort, but there is none from RP, no bounce, just ambling in slow motion and putting it on the pitch. He needs to run in and bowl.
fineleg Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 In a way, it is good that RP Singh is playing the inconsequential (to series) Test. There are folks who think RP Singh is improved becos he bowled better in "IPL" supposedly. They can watch him in the Test to see if that is indeed true!

To get wickets you need to keep the pressure on the batsman. Pace is asset sure, but consistency is key. Same Anderson was carted in world cup and mostly in sub continent etc.

But there is no excuse to bowl badly in these consistent. They are conditions and with decent pace. You do not need to be express to trouble batsman in these conditions. Consistency is needed and bit of effort. DO you see RP putting any effort or running in. He is just jogging line in a park. This is not RP's fault. He was on his vacations after Ranji trophy and IPL and was not ready to play test cricket. Cant they check their fitness NCA first before sending in them so Indian team can avoid the embarrassment they are facing now? First Zak and now RP, nothing is learnt.

vvvslaxman Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Oval is typically suited for spinners. Alas. we don't have any.
rkt.india Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Oval is typically suited for spinners. Alas. we don't have any. BUt this pitch is grassy not a typical oval. It wont turn as much as it turned last year in Ashes
Iconoclast Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 oh man .. sreesingsharma ... the three headed monster .. wonder what its stats will be by the end of this match.
Hell Raiser Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Poms would be laughing their ass of after watching India's bowling in this series. But wait they are still to witness the awesome Vinay Kumar in ODI's.
