To be fair to BP's comment - it actually is no big deal. All you have to be is dumb enough to try such things, and after that it is just survival of the fittest Or Natural selection.

As for the vid, one of my school friend hit a pole while he was pushed out of the train due to congestion. He was in treatment for about 2 years, became cross-eyed for 1 year and then surgeon eventually fixed it. He was quite well-off but the terrible traffic of Mumbai forces you to take the smelly trains. Its abt time, they have a decent transport system, but with the bulging population and class politics, not sure when that will happen

These young kids do the stunts travelling near the Ladies compartment, to 'impress' the ladies.. Mostly between Cotton Green and Reay Road stations on the Harbour line...

Mostly between Cotton Green and Reay Road stations on the Harbour line...[/quote'] Not just between those two stops, but it happens in almost every odd Local Trains, obviously when the rush is not much and you can get in and out as you want. But seriously these stunts are an invitation to death. God forbid, but if this guy had lost control, balance even once while doing such stunt, it would have turned out to be an awful accident. So I think these things should be stopped, at least we must not promote it on the web coz there are many foolish kids and men who try and imitate such scenes and lose their lives :((. How silly

Open door trains.. Can't these be replaced? Could be like the Overground Dristrict line trains of London..
Every train in UK has closed doors, I think most places in the world will have closed doors At the end of the day the railway will see the cost of adding doors vs costs of human lives. Looks like its cheaper to lose humans :((

hard to believe this is real, e.g. @30sec, he is hanging barely by tips of his fingers and slaps the pole, moving at such a speed!!, complete disregard of physics. @48, he even does a pull up - by the finger tips!!!
Why are you so jealous? Just coz the phattoos in Delhi and Bangalore don't try this kind of stuff in the Delhi Metro or Bangalore bullock carts respectively, doesn't mean that you belittle Mumbai's heroes. :P Haters gonna hate. j/k

Reminds me of the time when I first started to ride bike. There were a few hotties in the mohalla and as usual shaam ke time they would come on the balcony (all decked up of course), your truly would be ready with his bike and gun it at top speed right underneath their munder leaving the oldies shouting a mouthful. xx
