Let me include myself in here too. I was quite skeptical about Jadeja "the bowler's" worth outside SC. For now, he has proved wrong. I wonder if his role has been more effective due to the opening bowlers. As far as batting goes, I don't think he's going to be the all-rounder we are in search of.

no I was in that post.I always thought it was unfair to put all blame of our T20 WC failures on him. I wanted him dropped at that point yes,but didnt hate him like others did

Yea, I wasn't much of a fan either. Especially of his batting. He played one knock in this tourney. But, I'm pleasantly surprised by the consistency in his bowling. With the improvement in his bowling and his existing batting, I'd certainly pick him over Pathan. But, add to that his fielding and somewhat better strike-rate, he is way way ahead. He is no more malnourished :D Cheers.

I guess his bowling has been good with great accuracy..but u cannot blame me for being spectical this guy was awful in Australia and actually did well in england last time too.. Maybe Aussie pitches don't suit him ? Anyway batting wise we all knew he can hit few from IPL but it has never been special and it was showed even in test series ..

Overlooking the good stuff The thing he is he was so hated that people wanted him to fail...even in between those 2 disastrous WT20's and that SRT 175 game, he did sneak in some good m.o.m performances occasionally..... Overlooking the bad stuff In iPL he was shielded by Dhoni at times,but the SIR thing caught on that his good performances were praised and his poor performances were part of the joke adding to his cult like status.His role is as an allrounder but he had a poor series with the bat against Aus which was an all-out pace attack.Looked Poor with technique Credit where due He outbowled Ojha and even though not a benchmark anymore - outbowled Bhajji,Made in-form Clarke his bunny and has been our best bowler in C.T...That's pretty much it. Having said that over all he is a mixed bag,and once this SIR thing dies down,he will be a good-average utility player that's it....not a legend in the making world-beater as we all think he is.Also he will get pwned in South Africa and Tests in Eng.Will be lethal in WI but again even there, they have some incredible power-hitters that he will go for 20+ overs more often than not. Verdict-Jaddu is an average player who enjoys a cult like status and is currently having a decent run, not a world-beater by any means

Yes. Jaddu has pawned everyone but dont forget pitches also played their part. If we had pitches like 2011 and 2012, he wouldnt have much impact. Last year, Narine looked mediocre where ball was not turning an inch and English batsmen played him easily.

meh in australia irfan pathan was playing 10x better than jadeja with bat.. what timing he was struggling to play on quick pitches and even now has not done enough to call him proper batsman .

im not making fun of any one for stupid reason like wrong prediction.. as most of us made fun of him and called him sir not out of respect but in sarcastic way. now,every one is is behaving like outy was the only one against him when he himself said he can do well in shorter formats on suitable conditions. i just dont see point of single out anyone and make fun just bcos of some stupid prediction which came out wrong.
