Laaloo Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I was just there 3 weeks ago. It's true. That place is pretty unsafe. NO security present at all.
akshayxyz Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 sad news. RIP. Looks like carjacking could have been just a cover-up for some other reason of animosity.
ganeshran Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Very sorry to hear. May he rest in peace :((
asterix Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Very sad news. RIP. Same thing happened few weeks ago in London: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-14901139
Sachinism Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Very sorry to hear. As asterix pointed out, same thing happened in Ilford, thought this thread was about that
DomainK Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Such random robberies and murders are a little more frequent in the western countries than in places like India. We don't have armed robbers storming into restaurants, stores etc as often as it happens there. We don't have people robbing random strangers on gun/knife points in cities. It's a little strange considering that they probably have much more effective and better equipped, better funded law enforcement agencies at work.
coffee_rules Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Used to frequent Atlantic City, haven't been there in a few years. This is scary. Hope your relatives find strength to bear with their loss.

You have extortion, cops and politicians to take care of those "little' things.
Ram Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 That is tragic. I have been to Atlantic City several times, as recently as maybe a month and half ago. I didnt know the place was so dangerous.
Shehezaada Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 RIP man...may god grant strength to the family in these times
