It doesn't matter how hard US tries, pakis will not stop supporting terrorists. We were saying this for the past 20-30 years, only now US has realaised it. This is where we miss a gutsy prime minsiter like indira gandhi. She would have put pak in its place and she would have made the anti terror mechanisms very strong.

But when in 1992 Dawood blew Mumbai, India has to take some action. Because 1992 , Dawood did not behave like a mafia but a terrorist. Haqqanis have allready gone way beyond in Afghanistan then what Dawood did in India. Difference is Afghan hasnt got same set of security apparatus. Regarding ties to China, Good luck with dealings there. We dealt with Russians, Our Migs fall every next week and kill a pilot... Just remember one thing, When America stares at Pakistan's arsee atleast it tries to clarify that it wasnt intending to rape(One reason-There are Pakistanis in living among them). Chinese will never let anyone know when they visited the queens room.

The CIA along Pakistani army and establishment propped up these mujahideens and haqqani. In a way, I would hold the same opinion for US and Pakistan. They are only getting confronted by the monster they created. With Pakistan, the situation is a bit more complex Asim. These "strategic assets" as they are called in your channel including by my cricketing hero Imran Khan were not disbanded after cold war by Pakistan but kept around for insurgency into India. Again, this is now beyond argument since from what I have read and seen, even the media along with leaders accept this reality. Simply put this monster has come back to haunt them. There is this thing called "karma". I am not saying India is innocent little bunny always, but what you see in Pakistan, is at its very core, firstly a conflict of identity. History has been so sorely distorted, that there seems to be an alternate reality in that country. For instance, figure this, about 1600 people have been killed in drone attacks as per records and more than 35,000 killed by lunatic terrorist with bombs attached to their heads ( pun intended). So, you see, as an outsider, I am amazed at how much the country is in denial and how it thinks all its problems are a cause of India, RAW, US, Yahoodi etc etc. As I said earlier, the country has to confront its demons first.

Why would they , when they know they can defeat the enemy with their own help . funny thing is , some deluded Pakistanis think if it is an allout war against US this will trigger WW3 :)))

The Taliban was the victorious faction of the Afghan civil war much after USSR & USA left the Afghan theater & the Taliban govt was recognized by 3 countries. It received moral, financial & military support by these nations and maybe some others in the middle east. How is all of this CIA's fault :blink:
