in Zimbabwe unadkat was getting nice bounce and it gave an illusion that this joker was as quick as shammi. Unadkat is a tall bowler' date=' hence he would get bounce, but there is a difference in seeing bounce and pace. Don't get fooled by it. Unadkat was never 140s and he never will be. Waste of place in our team when some really talented bowlers bowling their heart out to play for India.[/quote'] did i ever say he was 140 bowler? i just said he looked quicker than shami..why so much damn hate? i dont care what speed guns show..same batsmen were more uncomfortable against unadkat and gave more wickets away to him even today he got swing unlike vinay kumar or ishant sharma.. what happened today was shami added 5k and unadkat bowled slower than zimbabwe games .. anyway i dont even care about pace ,would prefer quicker bowlers to slower ones but i dont start hating some one just because he is not quick..not in odis anyway...

How did you know shammi added pace and unadkat slowed down? There was no speed gun in Zimbabwe...without speed gun how would you know a bowler is added 5kmp pace and another was also the same? There is hate because he doesn't deserve it. That funny little weasel doesn't deserve to be even in India A team. This is no charity that you give places to guys just like that. They gotta earn it and that weasel never earned it.

Lets look at facts. he has just played for India and was bowling 76 mph. Yes thats right 76 mph!!! Shami was high 80s Case closed Unadkat is not even a trundler, he is slower then that

Mohammed Shami, the India fast bowler, has drawn praise from both captains, MS Dhoni and George Bailey, for his performance in his first game of the ODI series in Ranchi. Bowling consistently around the 140 kph mark, Shami ran through the Australia top order with a first spell of 6-1-21-3, accounting for Aaron Finch, Phillip Hughes and Shane Watson. "Shami is deceptive," Dhoni said after the game was washed out with Australia having posted 295 for 8. "He bowls quicker than you would think. What was important was he bowled full and the wickets he got, he was hitting the bails. That shows he was bowling the right length on this pitch. And at the death he was getting the yorkers in pretty consistently." Bailey, who revived Australia after Shami's burst in the company of Glenn Maxwell, also said the fast bowler did a fine job. "He bowled very well," Bailey said. "He's someone we haven't seen in the series and he was a little bit quicker than what we expected. He certainly got a bit of movement off the seam. That's something to be pretty aware of for the rest of the series. That's obviously what's going to be coming at us." Shami himself did not think there was too much help from the pitch, although he did generate some bounce and movement off the seam and in the air under overcast skies. "Nothing special in the pitch," Shami said. "We were bowling first and there will be something for the fast bowlers when the wicket is fresh. There was not much bounce or carry. It was a little better before the rain but once it rained, the pitch slowed down a lot. "The plan was not to give any room to the batsmen and make them play at the ball. The pitch in the beginning was assisting fast bowlers and we bowled accordingly." Shami also said he had been spending more hours in the gym to increase his pace, but added that speed was also an outcome of the conditions. "How fast we bowl mostly depends on the conditions available," he said. "If there is some assistance, you get inspired to bowl quicker. As we saw today, if there is some swing, some movement, you put in the extra effort."

one started playing at age of 19 and in test match where every one was getting smacked other debuted in odi and never bowled more than 5 overs on trot and still never consistently hit 140 k before to me pace was not big difference ,they are different kind of bowlers.. you can ask anyone who saw last series in zimbabwe and they will tell you unadkar looked the quickest and that is what i said..

Dhoni such a plonker. Deceptivley quick!!!! Dont judge bowlers on how you feel dhobi, just use science and the speed guns you plonker. He probbaly thinks at times viinay touches 90 if he is using his pathetic gut instinct And apparently what was important was shami bowled full length. thank god you dont cpatain Johnson
haha to me those quick bouncers were highlight of this match his bouncers are like zack ,full of effort and fairly on target and batsmen jsut did not come on front foot like before :p

Fitter and stronger. A big reason for the difference in pace between England/Australia and India is physical conditioning. This is by no means a necessary relationship between gym and pace, I don't imagine all of Pakistan's quick bowlers spend hours in the gym. But strength will help anyone to get that bit quicker. I don't think I'll be astonishing anyone by saying that West Indians are probably naturally the most athletic team and they have always produced people who could bowl 140kph.

If Dhoni hated pace' date=' then Umesh and Varun would not have been picked as early as they were.[/quote'] Varun was included after we went down 0 - 4 to England. Most of our pacers were either too slow or bowling 15 k slower than what they are capable of. The English were bowling way quicker than us. This lack of pace was thought to be one of the reasons for our horrible defeat. It was st that time that Aaron had bowled the 153 k delivery and was almost forced into the team by the selectors.Dhoni made him sit out quite a few matches in the ODIs even though we continued to lose in the ODIs. Then he finally got a chance, did decently - - better than the rest of the pacers . Then Umesh was introduced. Dhoni did not seem too keen on playing them. Basically, Umesh and Aaron were introducef in this backdrop of the worst series defeat in Dhoni's career till then and the extremely slow bowlers who contributed to it along with other factors.

I'm not saying that Dhoni isn't reluctant to play people without experience. I'm just trying to reason with the crazy people who say that Dhoni hates place bowlers with a serious passion and never wants to play them. If Dhoni didn't want them, they wouldn't have come in.
