nsareen Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 impressive action, can improve on it a bit, but he looks a strongly built guy, and was generating pace without giving the impression he is putting in a lot. Atleast better speed wise than mithun, rp singh, aravind, vinay, unadkat.

I see this guy sitting next to Wasim ALL the time during kkr games. This tells me that he is trying to get in his good books and learn as much as possible. Good luck to Shami for the future... Definitely one to look out for (only 21 yrs old).

saneindian Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 IIRC 141, 139, 138, 131, 133 and 134 kpmh. Wasim said Shami was capable of going even quicker and gets lots of natural outswing as well. A good prospect who needs to be encouraged. One of the very few young Indian pacers with not much of a technical flaw in their bowling action or run up.
msb1991 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 It is good that IPL is discovering these bowlers who have a fair bit of pace. Maybe we actually need to wait 3 or 4 more years until IPL finds are playing in the limited overs teams and doing consistently well but the signs are there.
