That was his first Duleep trophy match, final between East and Central Zone in 2011, which he played once Nechim got injured and was unplayable, took 8 wickets along with 6 catches dropped of him in slip and by WK. This was the match which brought him in foray, in the eyes of selectors and he was straightaway picked for India A. Though I was keeping an eye on him even before that when he debuted for Bengal.

I didn't really have great opinion about this guy. But the reverse swing he generated at good length was a sight to behold. I didn't see much of those earlier.

Don't look for anything else. Even reverse swing is lethal only if it is bowled at pace. Reverse swing without pace is no use at all.

Pk and bhuvi can cause trouble when the ball is new and ideal for swinging. Once the ball gets old they don't have anything to offer but to bowl line and length all day. Vk, hits 135-140 once in a 20 matches. These days he struggles to even 130s. A bowler like shami can swing the new ball at pace and later he can get reverse swing at pace which is so hard to handle. The last test match was a prime example for that. If you are trying to be a fast bowler, just try to bowl fast. Don't think about anything else. Just think I have to knock his block of..

No. When he hit 140K, he had bowled well that was T20 match and he troubled Warner with pace and bounce in that match at MCG, but these days he just does not seem to put nay effort in his bowling. Even in ODIs there he put effort and did well, was one of our best seamer in ODI series but has gone down after that. Regarding pace, pace is not everything. Even if you have pace, you will have bowl right line and length, but a guy who has pace and bowls right line and length and can also move the ball is what we are talking about. Pace bowling is not just run in and hurl the ball towards batsman as quick as you can but bowling in right areas and using your pace and skills as a weapon. A bowler with pace and skills will always be more difficult to face than a bowler with lower pace and skills. Ask WI batsmen who they will rather want to face BK or Shami, Shami being 10 k quicker than BK.

His Yorkers are difficult to handle because he has an unique action and the point of delivery is difficult to pick as a batsman. Ask him to bowl 130k and see if he can be as effective as he is now. Once he loses pace, he would not be as effective as he is now.
