OK he is definitely not the same bowler when ball is not reversing.. But his pace and that bouncer means he is still something very good... Well not special though..

He may well be special. Could be the new zak for us Bowls 84 to 90 which is quick. Bowls good out swinger with new ball to right handers. Then genuinley knows and gets reverse, moving it both ways with reverse. Could be special

every time seen him bowl right from start in odis v pakistan, he has impressed me massivley. Never understood why got dropped after pak series when looked awesome. Add BK and Yadav and could have awesome attack, plus aaron coming back....

Selectors are busy watching Sachin bat so they had a brainfart thus picked that pathetic trundler Koomar,I'm sure sooner rather than later we'll have Shami,BK, Umesh,Pandey in tests & Shami,BK,Aaron,Mohit,Shukla,Suyal,Dhawal in LOIs... best among them will eventually play 2015 WC.

lol what? he bowled 7-8 brillliant out swingers to samules and got unlucky to not get edge in his first spell he got wicket and in 2nd looked even more dangerous difference its test cricket and you do not always get wickets even if you bowl really well. also there was lot of seam movement which made samules uncomfortable as ball moved very late instead of moving from hand

Also lets not forget that Shami has genuinle pace and gets wickets often through PACE. Bowls in 84 to 90mph range. Look at dissmisals in last match and oz odis. Burst through batsman defences with that extra pace, of course with movement and accuracy, but also pace. Often BK is bowling same areas and good movement but does not get through cos he bowls 10mph slower often(rate BK but not in same league as shamii). Today got Gayle with back of length ball, that was quick. It was 88mph ball which hurried gayle and made him guide it to point.

When a bowler has the ability to move the ball both ways and has Infact got most of his recent wickets by indippers then a captain should give him some protection on the leg side.

I have never seen an Indian bowler consistently bowl so well ever and surprisingly so early in his career, that includes Zak, Kapil, and everyone else, if he stays fit and won't regress he will be India's best bowler till date, he should play tests and selected ODI, should be kept hungry and fit, he can bowl as good as any one I have seen currently, with him Umesh, Aaron, Suyal, Pankaj, BK, Zak, Pandey we do have good options to win anywhere if the selectors wake up, at this time their selections will make sure Umesh will not be prepared, same with Aaron, Pankaj, Suyal, Pandey.

VK and Unadkat are new to International cricket, they will take sometime before they settle down.[/quote'] We have heard all about aaron 150k thunderbolts for 3 years now, just like that guy atul sharma and his 155k bowling of a 3 step run up, jadev has turned into a trundler according to latest sources and is concentrating more on accuracy. Settling down like ishant after 50 test matches with their averages expanding northwards at the speed of light. (125k if your a kumar)
