vishalvirsingh Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 what ever it is i am quite certain that Umesh and even Varun are far better than ALL trundlers v Hve...I mean both are one level better, than all others...If I am Srikkanth , I wud strongly support ZAK ishant umesh Varun as the 4 premier bowlers and after that I wud go for ABU Nachim and Sreesanth and only if i need to go wud i consider PK and others..for me VK is way behind ..he seems like a ver very ordinary Bowler, how he can get wickets is suprsing , i may prefer pankaj unadkat and many others ahead of VK. prmier bowlers are: ZAK Second Level: Ishant,Umesh ,varun third level : Nachim sreesanth fourth level: all others like PK Tyagi and others..VK may not even fit into this list.
msb1991 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 How is Praveen on a level below Ishant and Sreesanth when he outperformed both of them in England?

Second level? Varun.UMesh better than Sreesanth, Praveen and equal to sreesanth. How so. What are their credentials at international level. In my view Varun is not even a half decent first class bowler let alone international bowler.

Before match started people got exited to see his bowling..after 3 days some people saying whats the use of bowling phaaaaaast in thispitch :giggle:
div Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 ^ During the England series these guys were blaming Dhoni :winky:
gakgupta Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 well...honestly, there is nothing from dhoni's end. Varon is not ready for international cricket. He should be dealt with real care as genuine fast bowler are to find. I hope he wouldn't get a chance to bowl if it's a flat pitch.

rkt.india Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 :hysterical: True. As if Dhoni was making a phone call to bowl slow. In my view some of our ICFers are way too over-rating our "fast" bowlers. that is called how to lower the confidence of a young man.
rkt.india Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 If he can't beat the defenses of grandpas like Kanitkar' date=' Akash chopra, Parida.. good luck with breaking Jonathan trott and Alistair cook.[/quote'] Aren't they batsmen and the batsmen who contributed most to win Rajasthan Ranji Trophy? How many bowlers can go through defense on a flat deck? There is no replacement of experience especially in longer format. Also remember, Aaron went through the defense of Adam Gilchrist in the IPL and Gilchrist had another 100 in this IPL after that.
bulbul Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 that is called how to lower the confidence of a young man. by posting here how you improving confidence of that Young man.. We are not against the Players but the people who own Unrealistic expectations on them... As i mentioned in many posts there is no absolute necessity in Currencroicket environmen to go absolutely flat out and get selected to India team..as you know better than me there is easy route of No stressful criocket :winky:

I am saying team management lowered his confidence as they did not show any confidence in Aaron in England ODIs. It always hampers confidence and creates self doubts in the mind. They must need to manage these bowlers because they are future. Likes of Zak wont be there always. Dhoni likes short-term solutions and dont think about future. How much Zak and Nehra can play maximum one year and then again he would need these guys. Rather than leaving these guys on their own, it is team management's responsibility to give them confidence and back them to their strengths. Look at England team management, you will get your answer.

How do we know Team management doesnt had a word with him why he is not playing. Is it too difficult for him to understand situations.. Just guess if they gave him a chance and he failed and dropped what should have happened to his confidence.. Atleast now he can think he should have dione well if given a chance.. We all think at some point in our life time we should have excelled at some opportunity we didnt got.. As per England management just think some of their palyesr confidence over the year when SA/Irish born players have very quick route to national side than them..if they all lost confidence i dont think England shoudnt have been in a position in all form of cricket where they are now

Put yourself in that situation and say what you will feel. If you are a mature guy, you may not have many problems, but at a very young age. you wont know what to do then. And those Irish and SA players you are talking about most of them play in county cricket and perform and quite a few of them only started playing cricket in England and are brought up in England for young age except KP and Trot. All others never played cricket in SA. They played their cricket in England only as their families moved to England lot earlier.

Look at England team management, you will get your answer. Hit the nail on the head. :two_thumbs_up: Some of the posters here are equally short sighted. There have been so many pacers who had started of as fast but were converted to medium pace after joining team India. This cannot be a coincidence. All pacers cannot be lazy. Indian team management just want line-length bowlers and pacers are in no way encouraged to bowl fast. Fast bowling is hard work. If bowlers who bowl without effort are preferred then who would try and bowl fast and put in effort. It is not only Dhoni but most cricketers connected to the Indian cricket team management think short term rather than trying to build a team. Only Sourav Ganguly was an exception to some extent. Pakistan's Imran Khan was a real visionary in this aspect and he had discovered, mentored and encouraged Waqar Younis into a world class fast bowler. Akram was also mentored by Imran to a large extent.
Cricket Tragic Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Aaron fanboys looking for all sorts of excuses to defend his performance. :hehe:
