The hypocrisy coming from some people is just baffling. When India lost, all swords were drawn and they were calling for heads but when England lost, its just one of those things that happens all the time. They're saying India didnt do anything great by beating England at home but when England won at home, they are awesome.
because indian standards are high and we went to england as number one team

I don't know why OP is talking as if we failed in Test series right now!!! Only ODIs were held so far in this England tour of India and we smashed them 5-0... Why should this discussion come at all!!!!!!

what is it to cherish? we would have won in eng odis had it not for the rains but this win in a dead series which has no importance is being celebrated as if we took revenge for drubbing in eng.
:hysterical::hysterical::facepalm::facepalm:

We just need to play out of our skins and somehow win the series in Australia or at least draw it, we'll surely be no.1 then and everything will be back on track.

Bullshit. I keep reading all these BCCI is ICC's baap comments all the time but its Indian players who keep getting fines while England and Australian cricketers get away scot free irrespective of the worst kind of behavior on field. I think Englishmen and Aussies will always have the stronger say in cricket matters as they were the guardians of the game for the better part of history and there's not a lot BCCI can do about it, no matter how much revenue they bring to the ICC coffers.
Sad, but true.

SL are getting pwned even on roads of UAE, their batting is completely out of touch these days. And I'm sure Swann will not be a good factor in India , he gets too much drift in English conditions which makes it difficult to play , he never got that in India.So England lacks a good spinner and their batsman are weak against spin, If we want to whitewash them we must prepare very good turners.

Give them real turner and we play 3 spinner....need not do for all 4 matches...just do for first 2 matches and having known them, they loose the confidence after that...........no matter what we provide later doesn't matter. We return back the hospitality to england esp Mr. Vaughan and Nasser.... can't wait to see this happen

They cant even take singles off the spinners' date=' let alone dominate them. [b']They will do n even worse in Tests than in ODIs.
Do you even know what you are talking about? England as a test team is a thousand times better than England as an ODI team and before people start getting all cocky and saying wer gonna whitewash them, were you not meant white wash us in the summer? please people get some perspective.

England will prepare professionally ,make no mistake , but we should prepare pitches to assist spin on days 4 & 5 , remember the point though as proven by Aussie performances in the past ( no, not most recent trip !)against us , we prepare a spinners track and find the top opposition pacers wreaking mayhem on a variable bounce crumbler where seam position is less relevant to it's subsequent deviation than whether the ball lands on the reducing area of flat surface or an undulation , ridge or grain of dirt . Pitch preparation is a double edged sword , we should have an attack that's well balanced by then so no need to panic . Swann is better than some on here think , and Patel or Monty or Rashid or whoever may just have a purple spell ( remember M Clarke ), so no overconfidence please OK ,so panic !!!!Get a double headed coin , God , it's going to be a series in which every match will depend on winning the toss , Help !!!

this is a great chance for us tohumiliate d english , particularly wrt what happened to us in england......... no more 1-0 or 2-1 test series victory, but crucifying 3-0 or 4-0, which is highly possible, just our bowlers have 2 perform............also india have 2 change their mentality of 1 win nd 2 draws 2 win d series 1-0...... britanny must be humiliated nxt year :hitler:

What is FSK?? I am pretty sure...BCCI will host atleast 1 test in Nagpur...& another in Ahmedabad/Mohali/Bangalore (although I dont mind Bangalore since they generally produce decent Test wicket). If it was me...I will stick with our traditional Test grounds...& have the test at Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai & Kanpur/Delhi.

England blanked India on good cricket wickets. Except for a bit of seam movement and the natural swing in English conditions, there was nothing in the tracks the tests were played on during the summer. It was not remotely like the tracks of 2002 in NZ. There is nothing wrong in having similar natural Indian conditions which have are going to turn a bit and aid in getting the ball rough to reverse, but anything more and India would only be further highlighting the declining fortunes of the team. Next year is going to be nothing about the redemption that a lot of people are hoping for. India would do well to avoid losing next year's series.

This is a start of the comeback trail by the Indian team and it is a trailblazing start to win 5-0....Yes there is a lot of groundwork to be made to regain the lost glory after the thrashing in Eng, but saying nothing has changed will be farfetched
