Yoda-esque Posted October 30, 2015 Share Posted October 30, 2015 Started watching Gotham on Netflix,what a fantastic show!I must admit I was a skeptical about a Batman story without Batman in it but the characterization and overall feel of this show is just great.The art direction is top notch and gives that old world smoky feel of a dark city full of intrigue and violence.The characters are not cartoonish in any way but believable people, and their metamorphosis to the eventual bad or good guys is subtle and compelling.You see Gordon struggling with his first assignment,a young Bruce at odds with his inner self and The Penguin actually seems humane..There are flashes of Ed Nygma and Cat Woman's personality as well.The Pilot might seem slow but it really takes off after that.All in all, a great show. First season starts off well..not sure if it was able to sustain it throughout. The ending makes the second season interesting. 2. It's not in the league of Game of Thrones and the weird english accent is kinda off but not bad. It improves as the the show progresses. Worth a try.
