ravsdh Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Ponting will be top scorer in the India series. Our attack will play anyone into form. Is anyone else travelling to Aus for the tour? I am going to the first two tests.
WC2011INDIA Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Agreed. We have a habit of bringing the best out of out of form players.
Magneto Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Ponting will be top scorer in the India series. Our attack will play anyone into form. Is anyone else travelling to Aus for the tour? I am going to the first two tests. Is it easy to get a tourist visa to Australia?
Trichromatic Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 He will struggle against Ashwin and PK.
Yoda-esque Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Is it easy to get a tourist visa to Australia? PM desi_cartman or Sree_India.They would know
zen Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 He will struggle agaist Ashwin and PK. :hmmmm2:
Yoda-esque Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 :hmmmm2: Think he said that since PK accounted for him in both ODIs in the CB series finals. I disagree.Ponting is too good a batsman to let PK trouble him.
vvvslaxman Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 punter's weakness is he gets over-conscious against a bowler who claimed him more often. bhajji, ishant for instance. He got out to even ordinary deliveries from Bhajji. same way He will still have memories about his duel with Ishant.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 ponting is finished. i hope he DOES play against india. he is averaging 18 for the year and it would be great to see our guys stick a fork into his career and end it once and for all. ishant owned him last time, and if zaheer plays, he hasn't got a chance of making a big score.
kabira Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 how mighty has fallen. Right now he looks like tailender.
Sachin=GOD Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Yes he will make lots of runs in this series.
Precambrian Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Depends whether he'll get till there. the 2nd innings in the ongoing test is a last-chance saloon for Punter.
THX_1138 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I expect this coming series to much like the last tour: 4-0 to the opposition. We have papered over the gaping chasms in our team: we lack fit fast bowlers, we have a poor fielding side in tests, and tendulkar is at the precipice of another slump. Not to mention that our lower order: past VVS Laxman does not contribute with the bat. Throw in the fact that Gambhir is in a slump, Sehwag would have only played against West Indies viz a viz playing against a quality opposition after returning from injury, Raina/Rohit/Kohli is no where near settled. Ashwin and Ojha might not prove to be a handful in Australia but i expect our uninspired board to select Harbhajan instead of these two; Aaron will be another tourist who wont even feature against a club side, Yadav might inspire but Ishant will be pathetic, and Zaheer will probably not be fit. Lets face it guys, the next two years are not going to be easy for the team. We have healed our wounds from the English tour way too conveniently by beating them in ODIs at home (a format in which they have not done well against us since times immemorial), then played against a pathetic West Indian side that is playing without our arch nemesis: Gayle. Oh and yes, i expect sreesanth to be back and be just as uninspiring, uneffective and utterly useless.
CSK Fan Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Think he said that since PK accounted for him in both ODIs in the CB series finals. I disagree.Ponting is too good a batsman to let PK trouble him. Ponting was genuinely struggling against PK in that series. so he has already let PK trouble him
BeautifulGame Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 If he survives the 2nd inns against SA then he has 2 tests against New zealand. If he cant find form against their attack he is simply finished
Yoda-esque Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Ponting was genuinely struggling against PK in that series. so he has already let PK trouble him PK was an unknown quantity then.I doubt if it would happen again.
