rkt.india Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 imo that's the best line up for india even though he is unlikely to be picked i still think sreesanth is india second best fast bowler currently He struggled even in the Ranji match he played, went for 5 rpo.
panther Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 He struggled even in the Ranji match he played' date=' went for 5 rpo.[/quote'] his ability to swing the ball both ways and excellent seam position makes him my choice over ishant

rkt.india Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 his ability to swing the ball both ways and excellent seam position makes him my choice over ishant He does not swing both ways. PK swings both ways. Sreesanth has good out swinger, no inswinger. Excellent seam position does not give you wicket when you are so inconsistent.

zen Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 2 from: Zak (if fit), Ishant, Aaron Yadav Ashwin
Lord Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 PK is a must in the series he will bowl at the stumps n will be relentless.Sammy in this series n Philander in SA have proved u dont need to be express, just bowl in right areas with swing
cowboysfan Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I would still play Ashwin on Boxing day in Melbourne.
MCcricket Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Ishant Zak Umesh three fast bowlers , pick themselves P Kumar Gony / Varun has potential , mayne needs a bit more time to play test's, should play ODI'S though Spinners Ashwin Ojha Overall if we have bowlers bowling to thrie potential , this lineup is better then the Aussie lineup, per form, I hope they play Johnson, Ponting, and their opener, these are the weak links
MCcricket Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 What about Anwar Ahmed Khan? Lol are u being a smart ass, although this guy is the most promising ranji bowler we have , only in his first season , but def a wild card, yes Philander took a few wickets and he is no g8 shakes, but the wickets in SA were bowlers paradise.
Bumper Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Ojha is a very ordinary spinner. His only role in the squad is to keep Harbhajan out (it's scary to think of an Indian squad Down Under that includes this charlatan!). So Ashwin will be my choice for the playing XI. Umesh & Ishant must play every test. I doubt Zaheer is gonna last the series, if he's fit he must lead the attack, else Aaron takes his spot. Our batsmen should look to post 350+ in the first innings of each test. If we manage that we will have a face-saving series. Sehwag is a big worry, his form will have a direct impact on our fortunes - we are a different team with him firing.

Philander bowls between 130-140K range and he bowled on SA pitches where he just needed to pitch in right area and bowl will do itself. In Australia, we will need bowlers who can bowl well even with old ball and not look ineffective like PK looked in WI and also in England.
rkt.india Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 why so much hate for sreesanth ishant is no better than him Ishant may not be the best. He may not have many wicket taking deliveries like out swing of Sreesanth and Steyn or yorker of Malinga, but he is kind bowler who will not let the pressure go from the other end of Zak has created pressure from the other end and pressure creates chances to get wickets. The kind of rhythm he is in now, he will be very handy in Australia and also he will get some extra bounce.

PK may not be as effective with the old ball, but if he can get 2 wickets with new ball n maintain pressure with the old ball, thats enough.even Ishant was ineffective in England with the old ball. batsmen today are not scared of pace, they get frustrated if someone keeps bowling in right areas n that PK can do.he'll get swing anyways with his action n the pitch will give him bounce.thats lethal combo
rkt.india Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Twice as many as any other WI bowler. :yay: it does not prove he is a strike bowler. it proves others did noy bowl well. you need to listen to ian bishop about sammy.
