nsareen Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 ROHTAK: Cricketer Joginder Sharma, who is also the deputy superintendent of Haryana Police, has landed into a controversy after his cousin Sonu lodged a criminal complaint against him with the Shivaji Colony Police Station. In his complaint lodged, Sonu has charged Joginder with beating him up resulting to injuries. Taking a serious view of the complaint, Rohtak SSP B Sathish Balan has marked the complaint to DSP (City) Jaiveer Rathi for further investigation. He has also assured the complainant that appropriate action would be taken against Joginder if he is found guilty after inquiry. In his complaint, Sonu said his family shop, which was located at Kath Mandi on the Jhajjar road, was demolished by the district authorities. The authorities then announced compensation which was 'illegally' withdrawn by Joginder's brother Deepak Sharma whereas it should have been received by his family, he claimed. "When I talked to Joginder Sharma about the shop compensation, he started thrashing me leading to injuries. Consequently, I had to get medical treatment from civil hospital," alleged Sonu in his complaint. He maintained that he had also submitted a separate complaint against Joginder to Rohtak SSP for getting justice. Meanwhile, Joginder has refuted all the allegations leveled against him by his cousin Sonu and termed the complainant as "false" and "baseless". Baljeet Singh, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, said family dispute over the shop compensation was the reason behind the incident. Joginder had also lodged a complaint against his cousin in this regard, he maintained.
nsareen Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 NEW DELHI: Medium pacer Joginder Sharma, who became an instant hero for India in the final of the inaugural World T20 tournament in 2007, suffered serious injuries in a road accident in the Dwarka area of South West Delhi on Thursday morning. His condition was cited as stable by doctors. Joginder became a household name after he dismissed Pakistan's Misbah-ul Haq in the last over of the World T20 final to fashion India's victory, but did not get the chance to play for India again. He represented Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Joginder's Swift Dezire car rammed into a call centre cab, a Tavera, from behind. There were two occupants in Sharma's car, cops said. The incident took place around 4 am near the underpass of the Sector 21 metro station in the area. Cops said both cars had entered Dwarka from the Dwarka-Kapashera stretch from the NH-8 side, with Sharma's car behind the Tavera. The driver of the Tavera SUV slowed down at a speed breaker but Sharma's driver could not slow down in time, leading to the accident. The front portion of the Swift was smashed completely in the impact. "We came to know about the accident around 4 pm. A case of accident has been registered and we are further investigating the matter. Culpability will be decided once we record the statements of both the parties and examine the case," said a senior police officer.
Cricket_2_Death Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I hope he recovers quickly! Misbah... :haha:
