yoda Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 he bowled decent apart from the death over' date=' it aint his fault we lost. i hope he plays in Australia[/quote'] ladies and gentlemen, finally we have the first vote. :yay:
Old guy Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 he bowled decent apart from the death over' date=' it aint his fault we lost. i hope he plays in Australia[/quote'] decent? i think he was worst then club level bowling straight w/o anything just rolling his arm.. throwing ball towards batsman at friendly pace ...no movement i would call this crap not decent
Stuge Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 you never know he might perform well I will post box full of laddo to your house ...if that happens :--D
urbestfriend Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 He is a cr@p limited over bowler but a OK test bowler..! Agree that he didn't merit a selection, but I wouldn't be terribly disappointed considering his chances of playing in XI is almost nil..At the most he may take part in some tour games...
Lord Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 :WTF: This guy has zero skills, swing n brains, gets carted around in every game he plays m yet gets selected. hope he doesnt get a game
ViruRulez Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 The main problem I have with Mithun is that he is extremely mediocre. To be honest, even mediocre is a praise for him as he is not even that. I do not see him bowling with pace nor does he extract swing. So, WTF bowling is that. Those are the two weapons of a fast bowler and he is missing both. Even a bloody spinner has spin but he does not even have that either. So, I still want to know why and how can be called a mediocre bowler leave apart good to merit him a selection in an extremely important overseas series.
Old guy Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 this guy worse then vk and that tells u something!
asterix Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 this guy worse then vk and that tells u something! Are you kiddin'? VK is far better than this joker..I can agree that Maithun is better than another joker, S Aravind.. So some solace that they didn't picked Aravind. VK>Maithun>Aravind

He looks like a 22yr old Munaf Patel. And I don't mean the tearaway quick version. The bowling machine version. He is just gonna be easy pickings if he plays.
vvvslaxman Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 How the hell Mithun came into reckoning? Beats me. Was he so good in first class this season?
cowboysfan Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Looks like people supporting players from their state isn't restricted to only TN' date=' Bengal and Punjab. :two_thumbs_up:[/quote'] You are wrong.i am from karnataka and I dont think mithun is international class.
pensionplan Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Looking at some of the reactions on this thread makes one think there is an Ambrose waiting in the wings. But no that is not the case. Good for Mithun. Hopes he makes the most out of this opportunity.

But definitely better choice than Mithun
bulbul Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 How the hell Mithun came into reckoning? Beats me. Was he so good in first class this season? no... he is selected based on lottery pick...whats wrong in that
Texan Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 If Mithun gets a game, he is going to get hammered left, right and center and even diagonally and any which way you can think a cricket ball can be hit. He is a club-class bowler with no skill. No pace, no movement, ordinary action, no skill = ticket to Australia sponsored by BCCI.

Needforspeed Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 When a guy like VRV Singh who couldn't keep himself from falling on the stumps gets picked, he is just a bad selection. When a guy like Mithun gets selected it's because he is a Saaaauthie. Don't you know? How 'bout declaring it just an incompetent selection? Yeah guys ...let us cut out this South North bull. Our selectors are a bunch of corrupt jokers with occasional flashes of brilliance. This Mithun bowls like a F***king bowling Machine. They shoul've gone for Abu Nechim..at least he would have developed as a bowler and he's got pace...and by the way I am a Southie too
