Aus bowling is underrated. Pattinson, Siddle, Starc, Harris, Lyon: they are quite good. Its upto the Indian superstars to apply themselves and put a 350-400 score at least - to avoid a repeat of Engerland tour. And hope for ZK to be fit, a lot of hope lies on ZK being fit and in form!
You want to avoid a repeat of Engerland tour and yet you're hoping for ZAK to be fit? :dontknow: Wasn't that one of the reasons why we were whitewashed?

Batting will be failure like the England tour except a few knocks here and there. And do not have high hopes for the bowling......Nah it will be 1999-00 tour part deux. It is over before it has begun!!!!!!!!!!

zaheer can't be the lone reason for india's whitewash. other indian bowlers were just toothless against england. that was the reason why india failed.

First XI for India & Australia for the boxing day test India's first XI:-Sehwag,Gambhir,Dravid,Sachin,VVS,Rohit,MSD(c& wk),Ashwin, Zaheer,Ishant,Umesh.Reserves:-Rahane,Virat,Saha,Ojha,Aaron,Crapthun:giggle: Rohit is in great form & personally I'll pick him ahead of Virat. Australia's first XI:-Watson,Hughes,Marsh,Ponting,Clarke,Hussey,Haddin, Siddle,Pattinson,Harris(if he's fit or Starc will play),Lyon. Johnson & Cummins are already out of the entire series with injuries.

I'd go with the same 11. Hope to see Rohit make his Test debut in the 1st Test.

Surprised by the Siddle bashing here, he's a decent bowler, always gives it 100%. In Australian conditions, he can be dangerous. With Pattinson alongside him and Lyon improving, all we need is for Harris to be fit and I think that's a good attack.

Looks even better than England in terms of fast bowling pack with Cummins waiting. I always liked the way Pattinson bowled and was really underrated before this series due to Cummins, but IMO he is better than Cummins. Cummins is still very raw.
