Tyagi bowled 120 K in the last Ranji match he bowled.Even at his best he doesnt bowl higher than 130 odd whereas Buvenesh Kumar consistenly swings the ball both ways and is one of best bowlers in Ranji trophy for last 2 years. So basically u are saying who is not even good enough UP team should be selected ahead of one of the best bowlers in Ranji trophy.What exact logic is this.
what are you talking about? do you even know anything about sudeep tyagi. he is out because he has just come back from a long injury lay off and struggled with his rhythm. it is not easy to come back and perform again. last year UP was struggling as well, but he came in and on his own took UP to win 2-3 STRAIGHT matches. he could bowl in 3 matches and then got a shoulder injury but he took 18 wickets at an average of 14 and SR of 26 with 2 fifers. he is an important cog on UP attack. this season he struggled, UP struggled to get teams out and he can bowl in 140s.

A single decent reason why to select Sangwan ahead of Unadkat? Or Tyagi ahead of Bhuvanesh Kumar.Heck even UP team doesnt select Tyagi into their team.

India go to Sri Lanka in July Aug 2012, but these are SC conditions. Only 3 ODIs against Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe (July 2013) The real action will start end of 2013 all Away Series 1. S.Africa (Dec/Jan 13/14) 2. New Zealand (Feb 14) 3. England (July 14)

did u read my post? he was struggling with rhythm? it can happen to anyone coming back from injury.

Sudeep Tyagi one of the most talented domestic bowlers, tall, good bounce, can bowl 140 to 145 k, good action, miles ahead of VK, Mithun,he single handedly won UP games when he was fit, hopefully he comes back and selectors select him in the pool with Gony, VRV,Dinda all three have experience , pace, good backup for our test pacers.

Bloody hell that's a tough and a defining season as one can get for India. Hell, they will need to a pool of 30. They can start by weeding out Vinooy, Irfan and Munaf. They can definitely do some work on Mithun, Sree, RP Singh (though i think he is content with IPL). But it's just so hard to pick a pool of players for long term for India with bright debutants coming through every season, that you don't want create barriers of entry and (exit). And picking a select pool will rather set precedent of complacency amongst these players. I rather have a more directive approach at grass roots where each Ranji team must have a minimum of 2 bowlers capable 140k plus. Though it is a very "Chinese" type authoritarian approach.

Good idea..but not really see it happening. Haven't you noticed..Most trundlers come from Ranji Elite teams, especially those with major say in BCCI politics.

not really good fast bowlers can win u matches anywhere i think it owuld be good opertunity to blood in aaron (i know he already played one) dinda ,ahmed .. guys like these so when we go and tour in south africa we are ready..even our replacements should be ready and i think dinda with is performance is gonna be in very soon and i trust dhoni to not do same mistake again there is a reason why yadav ,aaron debuted recently and why ishant is bowling quick again maybe india finally realised wht bowlers are gonna win them matches
Dont think so.......they never would have picked mithun or vinay as back up bowlers for OZ tour, if they have realized it.......i think it's just a knee jerk reaction
