S3E03 > S3E02 > S3E01. I cracked S3E02 mid-way through the episode and sort of knew half of S3E03 based on S3E02 itself. The entire season was more like a drama than a crime thriller. I have watched S1,2 around 10 times and I didn't quite appreciate S3 at all.

Its still very wachable but did not scale the heights as season 1 and 2. I think Sherlock is going to go the way of doctor who (same writers/ creators). When the new rebooted Doctor Who came out in 2005 it rocked for the first 3-4 seasons before falling away into too complicated plots. While sherlock has been renewed for season 3 and 4 they really need to up the game.

One thing I don't like is how they are overusing Mycroft and Moriarity's characters - in the books Mycroft hardly appeared while Moriarity appeared in only the short story in His Last Bow.
CG Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I am usually not fond of mordern adaptations.But got myself to watch first 2 seasons yesterday and it was really good and the ending of the season 2 was good.Most humane human being sherlock.Is the 3 rd season so much worse and should be avoided?

Not on par as the first couple of seasons, they focussed a lot on the relationships that made it a bit sappy in parts. I actually enjoyed Ep 2, the little bromantic thing they had going on. Yes last episode saved the series, cant see how they will (not) explain Moriarty being alive

CG Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Watched season 3 liked the last episode on the whole not bad they were leading up to season finale. my croft says there is a dragon coming when they were smoking at the christmas gathering and obviously he knew sherlock plans to drug him.
