Do ICF-ers (and Cricketicz in particular) still think Kohli is Test material? Maybe after another 2 years of rigorous domestics + county cricket. At the moment, he is a pure ODI batsman like Raina/yuvi.

I should bump up my thread about Rohit V Kohli for Aus series. Think the thread was merged. Anyway I obviously said Rohit but most ppl said Kohli lol. Including this laloo guy above me. They thought because Kohli scored couple of flat track 50's v WI he was more suited than Rohit. Now suddenly everyone changing.

He did not have a great start even in ODIs but he improved as he played more. His 10-20 ODIs were poor and was dropped as well. He is a mentally determined guy and will certainly get better. Even Dravid and Ganguly did not do much on their first Aus tour. First he must play as many tests in India which will certainly help his confidence. It is more about confidence rather technique. He played some good innings in ODIs in SA where all others failed against a raging Morkel, fast Styen and accurate and bouncy Sosobe and those were lively pitches.

Virus Kohli is the Yuvraj Singh of this series. His aggregate of 43 runs in 4 innings is only better than that of Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav. His average of 10.75 is even worse, its just marginally better than Ishant Sharma's. I consider Ishant a better batsman as he has shown he can survive much longer. Virus Kohli is the worst batsman in the entire XI. We cannot afford to play this turd any longer. Let's have someone else to fail at #6. This Ashwin dude can teach a thing or two about batting to our #6 batsmen. Better he could be our #6
