adi B Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 in seriousness i would pick tendulkar sehwag gambhir kohli rohit dhoni jaddu ashwin aaron umesh zaheer even though sehwag and gauti are in crap form, they will become batting gods back on these patta wickets. backups raina tiwary rahul sharma pathan very much a good side picked , we should not pick a complete new team otherwise the paki spinners will gallop them... viru gambo kohli rohit(though i think afridi nd ajmal will clean him easliy) raina dhoni jaddu ashwin zak aaron umesh paki bowling is very good, so batting wise we might not do well, but we have a good pace attack nd decent spinners, so we should try to win games with our bowlers from nowon

VK has been a revelation Munaf if fit as a senior bowler Umesh is genuine quick and can rattle batsmen Irfan all rounder, can swing the ball as Mirpur offers no pace or seam Varun can bowl full and use pace and swing Dinda deserves a place in the side Gambhir capt Sehwag Kohli also usefull dibbly dobbly bowler to restrict scoring Raina Tiwary Saha keeper, I think he is the best keeper in India and a good bat as well, very impressive. Ashwin allrounder Jadeja allrounder Rahul Sharma This will be the best fielding side ever to play for India, comparable to any team, 3 genuine allrounders, 6 bats includin the keeper, 3 allrounders, 2 bowlers, will make a good team with bowling options and bats all the way down. SAURAV have you seen YO MAHESH bowling this season he is the one bowler that needs most work, pace about 125 k, worst run up, approach at the crease, action , very ragged needs alot of work , he might get injured.He makes Mithun look like a world beater, it is sad to see him bowl, so many obvious flaws, either these cricketers with the available technology are not smart enough , or care enough also the bowlers have no support coaching wise,he has waned alot in last 3 years.
Show_stopper Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I think Sachin will optout of this as has been his tendency to avoid ODIs in Asia. So probably Rahane will get a look in. That said I think our bowling line-up will need changes. Zak and PK need to rested and dropped respectively (even if PK comes up with good performances in the CB series, he'll do squat in Asia). So these two need to replaced with Dinda and Aaron(if fit) or Ishant( gamble,i know) but if he isn't going to succeed in ODIs he won't succeed in any format. With his pace back, he should be good in ODIs like he was during the last CB series. So my bowling line-up for Asia Cup: Yadav VK Dinda AAron/Ishant Ashwin Rahul Sharma Jaddu I know its hard on Irfan,but I believe this is the way forward and also a relatively fresh attack. I do believe we will need at least 2 90+ MPH bowlers on Asian pitches to win convincingly.

I have never seen Yo Mahesh bowling. The team that I posted was simply a 'joke', taking a dig at the present bosses and the admin of BCCI.
