He is among top 5-6 Indian cricketer of all time, that I admire most. But, this is one of the few records I do not like much. He didn't genuinely earn all those 10 wickets.. IIRC the last one (or two) was almost gifted.

Wrong, you have been ready too much Pak propaganda. There were only 1 or 2 close decisions and even they were very close. See the video, tell me which ones you doubt

If we start counting all decisions which the bowler deserves or NOT, we will have to shave off 50 wickets of every bowler on an average who have bowled a certain amount of overs. There are some which go against you - some which don't. Just like we accept it on other days so must we accept it for this record too.

Kumble wold have been unstoppable if he played with UDRS in his career.

Quite true. On 4th & 5th day pitch he was quite tough to play. On top of that if there was variable bounce he was well nigh impossible to bat against. With UDRS he would get lot more wkts, just like most of the spinners.

You don't remember? how the bowler on other end deliberately bowled so as not to take a wicket, even by chance. and field was also set accordingly. Same like the way, recently, Mathoos or someone played (tuk-tuked) for the 100 for the guy on other end ( chandimal??)

Yu, Srinath bowling way outside of off was not a pretty sight to watch but you can't hold that against Kumble. Captain has to be blamed for that. It's good we managed to get the last wkt a few minutes before the close of play on Day 4 as the next day (Day 5) it rained in Delhi throughout the day and the last day would have been washed out. Just imagine what would have happened if Pakis had managed to come out with a draw with 9 wkts down just because our captain allowed the bowlers from other end to bowl wide off the stumps so that Kumble could get his 10th wkt :omg: Sometimes Indians go overboard with obsession with individual stats/records and I hope they show the same enthusiasm for team records as well, i.e. most consecutive test wins, most World Cups won, most overseas wins etc.

I can't be bothered looking up his average in Australia, but I know he was regarded very highly by Australian judges long before his 10-for, he was a likeable chap as well from what I remember.

Can you prove even one of the decisions was completely wrong and not even close? I have heard a lot of Pak people whining on these, yet when I see the video, not a single one was wrong. Put your money where your mouth is, please tell me which decision was dodgy or shut your lying mouth These are the wickets _7CjptAaT58 Look at Afridi's lying expression when the ball takes a huge outside edge too at 0:20 where ball's seam changes direction (apart from bat brushing pad), And of course some fans are fooled just because a batsman shakes his head
