Those two catches he took off TEndulkar in Adelaide test, one of them was out of the top draw 3. Headingly 100, probably his best. 4. Chase against Windies in Ahmedabad, chasing over 300 runs and he pulled it off mostly single handedly. 5. Rawalpindi epic innings 6. Him keeping wickets for sake of the team 7. Jo'berg 148, fresh in my memory..he set the game up for India, only rain deprived us of our first victory in SA 8. Ofcourse Kolkatta epic 9. masterclass in Jamaica (was it Jamaica) where Lara was furious with curator. 10. the crucial partnership with Sachin in the Sreesanth match. that set the game for us. We scored over 200 but that was enough on that pitch.

Prakat Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 RD, Like that other ol' reliable of India, Rajdoot, the bike that will survive, rain, heat, dust, sleet, snow and terrains from rocky mountain roads to sandy pathways to water-logged inner-city roads to slushy village streets, you could depend on RD to take you home safely in almost any condition, environment, weather or situation.

The ball was doing everything that day and both Sachin and Dravid were dispatching them right left and centre. I would add the Trent bridge test of 2002 as well. Dravid, Sach and Ganguly really did everything to save that match for us.

Although SRT played a gem of an innings, once he was dismissed about 100 runs were still needed. RD played the anchor and he and Yuvi ensured victory. They were last genuine batsmen with Dinesh Mongia to follow ( :(( ) It doesnt get often mention but was a very good knock.

Ram Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Its almost impossible to pick one favorite Dravid moment, but If i had to choose one, it had to be Headingley. People talk about how tracks in outside the subcontinent are helpful to the seamers. But even by English/South African/New Zealand standards, that Headingley pitch in 2002 was an absolute snorter. It was one of few pitches that seemed to have the unique combination of BOTH bounce and movement. Dravid and Bangars' bodies' took an almighty beating, but they stuck it out till conditions eased and the rest of our line-up sealed the deal for us. Headingley, in many ways, is a watershed moment in Indian cricket. It showed to us that we can after all, win in challenging conditions abroad. It paved the way for our subsequent success in Australia and Pakistan. And Dravid was hinge around which the entire win was constructed.
