Not taking anything away from him , but all his wickets were because of poor shot by batsmen(Jayawardene. Tharanga) or ball finding fielder's hand( Dilshan, Prasanna). On any other day he might have been wicketless. Or may be i am pessimistic.

maybe but in odis its much more then jsut wicket deserving balls his econmy was good.. bowled well under pressure.. and control is back so i will say on flat track he deserved it

+1 But if it involves bowlers thinking credit should be given. For instance VK bowled super super slow delivery when Kulasekara gave the charge.

He bowled well. Credit to him. He is able to swing the ball and is using variations as well. ODIs are never bowlers games especially in SC, fast outfields, flat tracks, etc.

He is most experience bowler right now in the team.. He should be there in ODI (permanent spot) as he has good number 7/8 batsman can bowl decently (best 5th bowler option)

no he was damn lucky... First 2 dismissal ,both the balls were heading for fours but the fielder/Keeper was in the middle and took the catch... the 3rd one was also heading for phooor but the ball hit the stumps instead of heading for a boundary.

wickets were lucky, but the guy was economical. he deserved it. and its not like everybody takes wickets with Jaffa of a delivery nowadays.

as we were discussing yesterday while the match was on that the only way india would make a comeback in the match was if the lankan gifts some wickets to the indian bowlers or some good fielding yields or results in run outs, no doubt pathan was lucky, but in odi`s while chasing a big total, the team chasing does go for expansive shots nd gives chance to the opposition bowlers

If you look at the his economy rate...he was making the batsmen to play poor shots.

Yes he was lucky. Absolute trundler. With Crapthan, Praveen the dada, and Vinnie it is trundler fest about to make me puke!
