maniac Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 He is the best spinner in the world right now..no doubt,but will he maintain this momentum is to be seen...He wasn't that threatening say 2 years back when he was still a regular part of their side but really has hit a purple patch in the last 1 year.

Number Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 He did beat Sehwag today. Sehwag doesn't miss the line against spinners like that. Even when Kohli was geting beaten against Raza, trying to go forward to the pitch of the ball, then back against shorter length. Viru played him easily on backfoot without missing the line even once. Well, Ajmal is the best offie of his era.

Bowl over or around does not make much of a difference one you start picking the doosra. In fact, the reason he goes around is because he picks him so easily.

Most teams find it difficult to pick him. but clearly he thrives when batsmen are under pressure, the moment batsman play him freely he has nothing to turn back to. Showed in Bangladesh game and today.
