superstar Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Ashwin will decide the match. I hope he will run hard and not tie the match.
Old guy Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I have never been to Africa:fishing: go to iceland ..bad internet connectivity :winky:
gattaca Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I remember even ganguly tried to discredit his triple saying its a batting pitch and he got low scores in Punjab which suit fast bowling. But Collingwood said triple hundred is triple hundred doesn't matter where you score. It is still difficult to score triple hundred.
Yoda-esque Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Off course not, but the fact remains that they are mediocre. A win here would mean that they would open a "Udhaar Ka Khaata" for the next two years.
King Tendulkar Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Jadeja selction is not a shocker but more marginal. He is being picked as a number 6 batsman and there are seemingly better contenders who seem to be more suited. That being said its a more marginal call but as we know in marginal calls the BCCI president gets his way. There is a chance he may succeed and I hope he does. Chawla is just total rubbish and totally mental pick. He is guaranteed to fail wether we like it or not.
Pagalpanti Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Don't think anyone hates them. Its just that time and again they've been selected but have failed. An odd-good game keeps them in the fray. Jadeja was really impressive yesterday though and Chawla did seem to have understood that he is premierly a leggie and not just a googly bowler. But consistency is something they are not accustomed too.
Cricketics Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Not wanting in the team is one thing, but once they are in, my full sport is for the team playing. They are Indians, how can you want them to fail?? They have worked hard to get there where they are.
coffee_rules Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Margin of defeat in Nagpur India to lose by about 180 runs. Koi Shaq?
superstar Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Jaddu aur ashwin angrezon ki band bachenga...
suraj Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I don't want them to fail or for India to lose but Chawla selection over another seamer is simply stupid and makes no sense whether from this match or long term Indian cricket perspective
Spiderguy252 Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Did you like the first three pitches? Forget the 1-2 result, hand on heart - did you think they provided a fair contest to both teams, as opposed to some absolute roads we've seen in the past vs SL (2009), vs Aus (2008)?
philcric Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 The Indian test team needs a new direction. If a test win in Nagpur hinders that, then yeah I'd rather prefer one more test loss. It's not just about Jadeja or Chawla,, this team doesn't have a good future in terms of mindset, leadership and personnel.
amiret Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 i don't think pitches need to "provide a fair contest to both teams". we don't need pitches to even the playing field for poor teams. what curator should try to achieve is a pitch for a fair contest between batsmen and bowlers (pace & spin).
superstar Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Jadeja apparently thought someone was making fun of him by lying to him stating he got selected in the test team...haha
Spiderguy252 Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 ^Yes, agreed to that too. Playing 3 spinners is a joke in that regard.
CG Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 If a fast bowlere get hit for a four.Dhoni takes you out next over no matter how good you are bowling. This trend just annoys me.
Sean Bradley Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 If a fast bowlere get hit for a four.Dhoni takes you out next over no matter how good you are bowling. This trend just annoys me. and some people were comparing him to great Imran Khan :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
