No - it did not. I will be surprised if Ganguly said that - he can be wrong as well. What happened was he stopped using his doosra after he was reported around 2009/2010. He just did not bowl it out of fear of being called for chucking and getting banned.

that is not his wicket taking ball just good variation which allows him to bowl bit straighter also he spins the ball which harbhajan did not that was his problem not doosra imo

In this pitch Doosra is not required at all. He can use it as a variation in cases where there isn't much in the wicket.

Congrats to CheP on first Test double. Showed great temperament. Hope that he goes on to achieve top runs in Tests. Tests are the real format and he looks like he can make it count there. But folks, before we anoint him next Dravid or Wall-E etc, can we wait for some Away Tours? This is a great beginning but there is a long road ahead before we assign these Wall titles.

On ig turners doosra/carom ball is not necessary. a good armball and a topspinner would do the trick.

It seems that England away from home rely solely on Cook I decided to check who was the best match winner in away games so I did a quick cricinfo search. Basically the criteria was batting averages in away games which your team has won.
