Jersey #10 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Let's see how well he does in this "major" event. Today, 4 overs 24 runs and a grand total of ***0*** wickets. :gossip:
vvvslaxman Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 He still sucks.. But this is not a major event from a cricketing perspective. From commercial perspective very huge.
Jersey #10 Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 ^ major for his come back to the national side. BCCI selectors have started giving good consideration to the IPL performances for past few years.
vvvslaxman Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 ^ major for his come back to the national side. BCCI selectors have started giving good consideration to the IPL performances for past few years. Yes.. IPL peformances are important if you play for CSK.

Jersey #10 Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Sarcasm aside' date=' an economy rate of 6 an over isn't bad by IPL standards.[/quote'] True but zero wickets is also not good to make a come back in the national side. Then again, this is just the first game so let's hope for the best. We know that he could be lethan at his best (which we haven't seen in many years now). This is his shot at proving that he's till got that killing streak.

Number Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Pragyan Ojha 4-0-17-2. was giving good flight too. Ojha v/s Ashwin is the contest to watch in the spin department. If Ojha does well , he should be in the ODIs too.
GautiMaan Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 ^ yes ojha has got a raw deal from the selectors.Jaddu's miniscule batting skill aside, ojha is a far better pick
vvvslaxman Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Bottomline is Rahul sharma/Ojha will come ahead of Bhajji.bhajji has done nothing to come back into the side. If at all he is going to get picked it will be because of his very old performances.
akshayxyz Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Bhajji will win IPL 5 as a captain, and then replace MSD - based on captaincy...bowling gayi bhaad mein.
Lord Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 he is defintely in contention.Ashwin hasnt done well for a while.so theres a chance in LOIs.
India-KXIP fan Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 he is defintely in contention.Ashwin hasnt done well for a while.so theres a chance in LOIs. Harbhajan has the ability to come back in national side but anything he does in IPL should not be given consideration. I seriously hope he can come back after proving himself in the next Ranji season. Needs to flight ball up more and try get his doosra back. With 400 wickets and seeing what he did to ATG Aus side no one can see he doesnt have the ability. If he comes back next year he'll be 32 and could still play another 5 years.

Prakat Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Bhajji to storm his way into the Indian side in all formats. :yay:
RedFever Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 doesnt matter if Bhajji gets back in the national team or not, I want him to lift the IPL :mi:
Mariyam Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Bhajji will win IPL 5 as a captain' date=' and then replace MSD - based on captaincy...bowling gayi bhaad mein.[/quote'] Actually, I'm very impressed by Bhajjis captaincy and his general approach to the game. Talking about a return to the Indian team in tests and ODIs is still away. For I consider India to be the strongest ODI team and he currently we can do very well without him. But for the T 20 WC, I think Bhajji should make the squad. That too as a vice captain to MSD. Bhajji has been playing the CL and the IPL with a point to prove. Aggressive body language, inspired fielding, good active leadership and economical bowling. He adds a lot of value as a captain. And he can slog if need be. Right now, Ashwin has gone down on the performance charts and is not really an effective T 20 bowler. It will be between Ojha, Bhajji and that tall (relatively) good looking guy from Pune Warriors, can't recollect his name. Bhajji definitely deserves a place in the squad if not the playing 11 based on his last 6 months T 20 form.
Prakat Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 ^ arre you are machiavellian management material dearie! We know what his desire is - join the Indian squad and become part of the ODI and Test core group. We should keep dangling that in front of him by playing him in IPL and T20 matches where his ambition and fire will get channelized into egging him on to perform in the hope that it will open the doors for ODIs and Tests. :D
