At least IPL is throwing up some fast bowlers who can actually bowl fast. I've had enough of trundlers like Koomars & Dinda who can neither bowl quick nor be consistent in their line & length.

I'm as excited as the next person but I've seen Dinda bowl the odd spell at this speed. Dinda is excellent when he bowls over 140kph though so I guess what needs to be seen is whether this guy can sustain pace.

Dinda is excellent when he bowls over 140kph though so I guess what needs to be seen is whether this guy can sustain pace. Key is that Dinda & Koomars bowl an "odd" ball at 140 and when they do they lose control. When needed to bring their A game at the death they are cannon fodder to a half decent batsman. It's time to move on and hopefully go with youngsters.

No he can't.He can bowl 140+ in T20s,first spell in the ODIs but not in the longer spells.He'll be 134-138 in FC & test matches with odd 1 or 2 balls over 140.

And he seems to have the body for it. In theory it's not impossible. Anyway, very early days yet. He's just bowled 2 overs so far today.
