Raina and Dhoni were batting at the death . Don't think it was not due to incapability. Grossly out of touch Raina that is. usually a gun player at death.

Agree. Ind look so far off the pace that it appears they have just turned up blind at this tourny. Openers are abysmal, the mid order does not know how to accelerate at the death while the bowlers do the opposite. The gulf will be exposed in the super league stage.

1. They were unknown entity till they played us. England after seeing should've done a bit of planning against them on how to attack their bowlers and how to bowl against their batsmen. 2. Seriously feel, they bowled better against us. There were not this many length balls as they've bowled today. 3. We are a poor team.

You guys are pathetic. Everytime someone messes up you say "he shouldn't have been selected, this one should have been selected instead". I guarantee that if Yadav and Aaron had been selected everyone would have been talking about how rubbish they've been (which is true) and how it's a dumb selection. The truth is that at the moment there ARENT any outstanding indian pacers. The problem lies in TACTICS. Indian bowlers are brainless (all of them, except maybe Ashwin) and Dhoni needs to take control and tell them what kinds of deliveries to bowl and how to set the field. The bowling coach, whoever the hell it is at the moment, needs to sit down and teach these guys basic bowling tactics. Other teams still manage to survive with rubbish bowlers because they get their strategy right. If guys like Albie Morkel can bowl successfully then I can't see why ours can't either. You have to work with what you have. India have brainless choking bowlers, they have to deal with it and try and minimize the damage these guys do. In the meantime bowling academies need to reconsider their approach and serious bowlers need to end this IPL nonsense and go play county cricket instead where they'll get some decent overs in and learn a little bit about pace bowling.

There is another disadvantage for batsmen. They face only these trundlers in the nets. These guys bowl like crap even in real matches. Imagine how they would bowl in the nets. One moment our batsmen face Bala lee, zak in the nets next moment they face Finn, Barbie in real match.

I haven't seen this match but vs India I don't remember afganistan bowling badly or feeling that indian batsman were letting them off the hook. I don't know maybe England are just better batsman at T20. Or maybe Afghanistan just had a fluke match against India?

England has been better than India in T20s for quite some time now. Our batsman were trying to score, but found it difficult to hit. Gambhir was edging everything and so on. Bowlers were bowling like club level players.

I don't think so. England were a little bit more patient than some of our openers - Gambhir/Sehwag (who is so impatient it looks like he was even born early!). The one thing you need to realize is that the fundamentals of the game remain the same. The lesser known teams would come up with certain moments of brilliance but once you hang in there for some time (even in a format like T20) things can change. England were just a little bit more patient and when things didn't happen for Afghanistan they panicked and tried to do something different. Surely 1 did help England but come Sunday that should (and I hope would) not be any excuse for it.
