Inaccurate to typecast north or south on fat inducing food, we are pretty even on par with north americans in fatty food.

If you want to try these are some of the flavors found around chennai. 1, Dindugul variety - Thalapakatti 2, Ambur variety- Salem RR 3, Vaniambadi Dum - many restaurants around chennai, E sait Each have their own distinct flavors..

There was a Vaniambadi Biryani place in Chidambaram in main street opposite mariappa theater( 1.5 hrs from Pondicherri ) best place for that flavor. There was Biryani place in Puthur which is between cudallore and sirgazi both in the road from pondicherri to Kanjipuram awesome food there..

There is this ethiraj college right... opposite to that there is the milky way ice cream parlour which was a rage a decade back... the chettinad restaurant is next door. thats where i ate rabbit they also had other exotic food (not chinese level exotic :--D) but yeah some game fowl meat, nethili fish etc...
