Cricket Tragic Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I thought he was always at war with Indian team, even in 80s games he would come across as a retard. For all his credentials as a great inspiring skipper, I thought he was as much of a buffoon who beleived in acting bully like for no reason. That being said, good to see him acknowledge that he opened the Pandora's box on Murali. The result today is for all to see. Disagree with that. Arjuna was always pro-Asia and he disliked the Aussies and English more than anyone. After winning the WC, he thanked India and Pakistan (Azhar and Wasim) for helping SL when they had problems with security. This was during the presentation ceremony just after the high of winning the WC.
Sean Bradley Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 And I feel sorry for ranatunga coz he cant do this :alienbooty: !!
GautiMaan Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 India has a test series with Lungans in JulyB->
jairamesh Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Ravindra Jadeja is hell for sure not feeling sorry for Indian cricket
zep1706 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I feel sorry for Ranatunga's chair POTW :hysterical: :hysterical:
saket123 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 whenever I hear about Ranatunga.. I am reminded of the match where he was about to lose but refused to play citing bad light and walked out. Cheatertunga!
Desi Cartman Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 And he was a great promoter of cricket. He ran faster than Bevan and won more test matches than VIv Richards. He has every right to blame board of another country for failure of his own board.
SLICKR392 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 According to him, Lankans were invincibles before IPL showed up.
Zero_Unit Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Tss tsss If you payed your players right on time maybe then would be representing SL instead of IPL.
Needforspeed Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Why is he silent on the pathetic and failed attempt by SL to stage their own SLPL. India may have lost a few but still better than his SL team. If IPL had not been there most of the SL players would have resorted to match fixing to earn their livlihood, as their Board hasn't paid them anything.
Needforspeed Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 India has a test series with Lungans in JulyB-> No that has been changed into a ODI +T20 series at the request of SL Board, because they wanted to make some money.
GautiMaan Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 No that has been changed into a ODI +T20 series at the request of SL Board' date=' because they wanted to make some money.[/quote'] gr8 just what we need more ODI's with SL :banghead:
msb1991 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Ajmal is the most blatant. Above I talked about players playing in IPL and chucking on certain deliveries if not all. Rubbish. Samuels is the worst chucker by a mile. Ajmal could conceivably be keeping his arm pretty bent throughout (though there is significant straightening), Samuels just throws the ball.
daryl1985 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Ranatunga is trolling here but some of what he says is true. He is one of the greatest trolls of all time. The way he got under Australia's skin in the build up to the 96 World Cup was amazing.
rkt.india Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Rubbish. Samuels is the worst chucker by a mile. Ajmal could conceivably be keeping his arm pretty bent throughout (though there is significant straightening)' date=' Samuels just throws the ball.[/quote'] Because Ajmal is a specialist bowler. He bowls most of the overs and has been responsible for most Pak wins in recent times. Samuels is primarily batsman. If Samuels is banned, he will still survive as batsman, but Ajmal can't if banned.
NareshK Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 SL board got bankrupt and cant even pay their cricketers salary and this guy is feeling sorry about Indian cricket. Oh the irony. I wonder why these ex cricketers from other countries have to worry so much about Indian cricket all of a sudden and IPL of all things. Its an Indian domestic tournament. Its none of their business. Foreign cricketers are playing in the league by their own will. Nobody is putting a gun to their head and forcing them to play. What is this guy's problem if they are doing what they want to do ? The reason is after IPL, the boards cant be the master and control their cricketers like little slaves anymore. Look what happened to Chris Gayle and how he got treated. IPL brings value to a cricketer because of his popularity/talent/skill or whatever. Its more fair than the boards and the bureaucrats making money on the hard work of the cricketers and paying them left overs and most of the times nothing.
Crookbond Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 For people calling Ajmal as a chucker, you need to "scientifically" prove he straightens his arm more than 15 degrees. If not, we need to put up with him. Simple as that.
jf1gp_1 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Does he also feel sorry for aussies because of butcher (likes of warner) they are producing thanks to their domestic t20 tournament ?
