Pace is an X factor' date=' an added advantage.[/quote'] that is true i only watched few overs today was able to catch one over from him so dont really know how he bowls in longer formats thats why i dnt judge from ipl but at ranji levels ( he plays in lower tier right ? ) even with pace he should be bale to pick wickets with reasonable control imo. anyway over all best thing today was to see yadav back in rhytm and bowling that ball to binny B->

The pace will inevitably come down to more fast-medium over a long period of time and so consistency is the name of the game. I look forward to seeing how he progresses...hope he stays injury free.
kubrickian Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 He actually looked quite pacy and clocked 143, 140 on a few occasions. Good thing about him he seems to have a decent action, arm position and landing the ball on the seam and a good rhythmic run up. He has a good build, looks athletic although not too tall. He could be a good prospect for national team if he does well in FC.

No seam was very good. You have seen slower ball with wobbly seam.

He was always considered to be 140+ bowler who could touch 150, but last year in a match he played, his pace looked disappointing that maybe because he was coming back form a long injury lay off, but this time, he looked quick.

express bowling Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Shukla needs to be included in India's pool of pacers being groomed by the bowling coach. His wonderful seam position combined with the heavy ball that he bowls can be an asset. We don't have many such bowlers.
