ipl is fun Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Looking at both teams DC and RR, I cannot think of any reason why someone in the right frame of find would trade these 2 players. Its not like they were saving money as these 2 players were not making that much as compared to Mahela, Pathans.... I can't see why DC and RR didn't see the value of these 2 players aleast KP who can bowl too. Ross is not slack as he can finish well on his day

1983-2011 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 also how :mi: got Dinesh Kartik and Ojha paid money to their teams like srinivasan does to fix matches
ipl is fun Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Please don't compare MI getting DK and Ojha to DD getting KP and RT. Everyone knows who has bigger impact this year as well years to come unless there is scheduling issues for KP and RT Ojha is not playing in the XI KP played for RCB the first 3 season. IPL4 he was out with injury but DC picked him auction for 700K or so

IPL4 he was out with injury but DC picked him auction for 700K or so Just because you have impact for one team.. that doesn't mean he will have the same impact for every team. Yusuf did well for Royals. Sucks for KKR. It is about the kind of role, freedom you get in your side. Also it depends on your home conditions. When first IPL started everyone decided Chargers would win it based on the power hitting line up they had. THey were wooden spooners in the end. It is all about how you work as a team. Seriously CSK on paper is a very average side. But they work well as a team.
Number Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 paid money to their teams like srinivasan does to fix matches :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
NareshK Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Its all about the money honey. DD realized their team was weak and offered enough money to DC and RR management and they duly obliged.
ipl is fun Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Agreed that impact would be different. Yusuf is right example.. Again these happen at different times and so the forms of each player change.. Needs for each team vary.. I was thinking from DC and RR point of view. Why would you trade them, when you are allowed to have 11 International players. What did they get in return? if they saved cash, then did they get anyone of value?
asterix Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I think both DC and RR had won IPL earlier and got complacent... Think about MI.. The most overhyped non-performing team.. Haven't won a single IPL and too much hype..Won't win IPL ever in future too.. Shame on them..
ipl is fun Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 CSK also have won 2 and been in semi/finals of other. I don't see them trading good players CSK is average on paper but they have been consistent. Didn't like Jadeja pick though for that kind of money For MI defense (I am a CSK fan), they won CLT20. I agree they are not going anywhere
someone Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 The thing is not about selling actually but replacing. RR brought Oawis Shah and he replaced Ross well. So the replacement has done a good job. Cannot see the fault of RR. But other team's like DC, there was no logic as clearly they did not replace KP effectively.

Executioner Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 DC should have thought about buying these 2: Tamim, Andre Russel or graeme swann. Tamim is def. in hot form and is among the better openers nowadays. Andre russel can do what Daniel christian is expected to do in his Eid match. Swann is one of the best finger spiners nowadays and in subc. conditions you need a good bowler in the middle

DC did get a back up to Christian, and that was Daniel Harris, he is useless as a bowler but they also got Darren Bravo but because oh his selection to national side he wont be playing in the IPL...... There is no place for Swann in DC side because Steyn and Theron besides DC has always had good spinners from the first edition of IPL.... P Ojha, Rahul Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Amit Mishra, even Ankit Chawan is doing very well this season!
Jersey #10 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Someone trade off Bhajji please. This guy is just extra weight even in an IPL team now.
