I happened to read in the never ending thread that a painting was sold yesterday at an auction for $120 million. Having some interest in art, I present you this list of some art sold for an exorbitant price: 1. The Scream by Edvard Munch - sold for $120 million The Scream was heard all over the world yesterday!!! 220px-The_Scream.jpg2. No.5 by Jackson Pollock - sold for $140 million Drip painting. Basically take a large brush dipped in paint and start splashing on the canvas. You call this art? No._5%2C_1948.jpg3. Tdigi, Print your painting on a piece of paper and sign it. Lock it up in a chest. Bury it 200 ft in the ground. After a few hundred years, I'm sure your "art" will have great value.

That has been done too.. :giggle: "Black Square" was painted in 1915 and was presented as a breakthrough in his career and in art in general. Malevich also painted White on White which was also heralded as a milestone. "White on White" was a breakthrough from polychrome to monochrome Suprematism.

I remember this story of a 9 year old kid who won a state-level drawing competetion....He took a chart paper and colored it completely black and named it 'how the blind views the world'
