Crookbond Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I always feel for people from the NE region. For some reason, people keep referring to them as if they are aliens & treated like foreigners in their country.
Clarke Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Physical+Map+of+India :finger: but are they in India illegally? they are over 30 millions NRIs and PIOs around the world, so theres nothing wrong with 3 million bangladeshis in India if they are here legally. You should have completed high school.
ravishingravi Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I always feel for people from the NE region. For some reason' date=' people keep referring to them as if they are aliens & treated like foreigners in their country.[/quote'] Couldn't agree more. I think more than any other state, their demands for independence is completely legitimate. I have personally seen the pain of some of the people. We have done close to nothing to integrate them with whatever we consider as Indian culture. They are still considered as outsiders. "Chinky" i.e. Chinese is what people refer to them as.
RedFever Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 One advantage we should have got by having Bangladesh merged with India is we don't have to listen " No Tamim' date=' No Shakib" cries before every :pw: and :kkr: matches[/quote'] truw :haha::haha:

Also, it's like the centre is not bothered about them totally. I wouldn't be surprised to find them cut out from mainland India. What arguments do we have?
maniac Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 This is just my personal opinion.....Most of India has more cultural similarities with Bangladesh and Pakistan than North east.I am not bringing Srilanka here because for some odd reason their culture is way different than even the southern states maybe with the exception of the Tamil populace. I know that most North-eastern states have a significant Hindu populace but for some reason they find it more difficult to assimilate with the general population.I mean you could see a bangladeshi or Pakistani gelling with their bengali or Punjabi counterparts but most north-easterners they generally hang in their own clique. I might be wrong as I said this is my personal observation.
1983-2011 Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012  You should have completed high school. ^ :hysterical: whats wrong with my statement, if they are in india legally then whats the problem. ever heard of emigration and immigration?
Ram Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Thanks, but no thanks.. 90 million bongs are hard enough to deal with.. Can you imagine a country with twice the number of strikes and 3 times number of quiz masters?

Crookbond Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 whats wrong with my statement' date=' if they are in india legally then whats the problem. ever heard of emigration and immigration?[/quote'] :WTF: They are illegal immigrants man. Check the later links I have posted. You should be in denial to be in such oblivion.
lovish Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Yeah sure... are not we done with kashmir yet that you want bangladesh too ?? There would have been terrorist attacks on daily basis while 20 crore extremely poor people with a birthrate one of the highest in the world would have been added into already swealling indian population.. we are much better without them.. One day, I will take it easy. Today won't be that day...

I might be wrong as I said this is my personal observation. Well you are completely wrong. And do allow me to trump my Bihari chaati (chest) because most Biharis wont even think like that. Dude, if you think NE is different what do you think of Bihar-Nepal border area? Or for that matter North of UP area, Gorakhpur waala. You know the kind that is made fun of in Hindi movies by stereotyping Gurkha/Bahadur?? By the way that feature would be akin to many a Pahadi area ranging from Himachal to Uttaranchal to Ladakh. This thread is remarkable for many reasons, ranging from not looking at Indian map closely ( :(( ) to physical resemblance. As for gelling with general population, is it not condescending? I mean remaing India becomes General?? And these Indians become what? I know your heart is in the right place mate but that post is wrong on multiple fronts :winky:

Misti doi and Rasgulla instead of the Haldiram that has become synonymous with mithai.
mishra Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 never really focused on Physical Map of India :hysterical:Btw it is political map. :headshake: Dirty mind

mishra Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 chill out dude' date=' am not saying we need to take over that country, bangladesh should have been where north east india is atm and the bangladesh part should have been in india.[/quote'] You go to North East you wont be able to stop laughing. While, when you stand on Indian part of hills/Mountains in Northeast, You will see very vast landmass of good, cultavble, plain land. That was all given to Pakistan (now Bangladesh) and we kept all the hills. :two_thumbs_up: To the Indian side of guys on bargaining table
Ram Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Atleast the good old mithai from Calcutta would rule the word. Misti doi and Rasgulla instead of the Haldiram that has become synonymous with mithai. I would absolutely prefer the merger of B'desh with India then. :two_thumbs_up:
