For giving us this wonderful gift to mankind called IPL. Is this cricket or does it even do anything REMOTELY beneficial for Indian cricket? I can watch Bollywood DVDs to see the below! Spotfixing scam is a slap on the idea that IPL 'helps' Indian cricket.

What about T20 World Championships. They are responsible for all this. Every county now has their T20 league why blame only BCCI and Modi. Blame ICC who made T20 what it is now.

The most notorious spot-fixing incidents have happened in Tests. And we had this scandalous match-fixing incidents in the 90s where internationals from every countries were involved. Why blame Lalit Modi/BCCI for some random Indore League spot-fixing incident? :dontknow:

Perspective my dear OP perspective.. Are you blaming a tournament and its organisers, if some individual indulges in some kind of cheating for the lust of money? I mean if someone in your company gets caught for some offence, does it mean we should go after your company and close it? What kind of logic is it?

Point accepted. It is OTT to blame the organizers alone. I am not unbiased. I have a bias against IPL and I'll admit that. I fear that IPL is going to spoil the hunger of younger generation cricketers to succeed at the highest levels of Test cricket. A few rare exceptions like Pujara et.al. apart. Personally, I wish IPL did not exist. I am worried about IPL's impact on quality of real cricketers (not the Valthaty, Pandey type cowlashers) in forthcoming years.

Yep, its really a shame that laptops sell for 1000$. By not pricing it at 1 million $, the laptop companies have essentially killed the drive for fineleg to reach higher to afford their computers.

I think it is only because of IPL that Sachin, Dravid, Laxman and Veeru sucked so much in the Ind-Aus series. I think IPL has spoilt their technique. On a serious note, I am more worried about Test cricket spoiling the techniques of our IPL players. Just look at Dhoni now. :nervous:

LOL :D But, No worries, I have been in ICF for way too long and have seen these kind of things. Pandey fanboiz can't hold a candle :winky: to some hardcore ICF-ers of yesteryearz This is afterall IPL, the tournament is meant to be abused anyway :)
