Prakat Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Gautam at the Final Ceremony Interview: I wanted to win to prove that a Successful Captain is only as good as his team and it's the successful team which makes a Successful Captain and not the other way round... (pretty much what he said, writing from memory)
Number Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 :nice: Didn't play well today but whole season he been core of their batting. He deserves it.
Executioner Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 the guy made some debatable decisions but as the tournament progressed he got the team at the right places. The guy was the better captain at the end of the tournament. he put all the pressure on himself and got his team some wonderful results. Played poorly in the first few matches and also in the last few matches but in the middel he was solid, determined, committed
JourneyMan Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Hats off to double G. Persisted with spinners, it paid off. Took out McCullum, put in Bisla. Paid off greatly. KKR won it without Narine wickets and Gambhir's innings.
superstar Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Hahah ...I am deeply worried about the Indian cricket future. The other day Dhoni was too animated after Shewag wicket. There is definitely trouble between these three. India is going to lose a couple of home series because of these three. Probably BCCI should kick shewag out of test matches to bring in order in the team. Alternatively kick dhoni out of test matches..he is a bit arogant as well these days
asterix Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Something is definitely not well beween the 3 guys.. Could this be one of the reasons of India's failure in Test matches abroad?
BERGKAMP Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 bit of a cheap shot from gg there. he must be very bitter inside. for god sake you have just won ipl, enjoy it, not score points in a little handbags feud.
akshayxyz Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 This kind of loud mouthing is one reason, he should be held away from captaincy.
NareshK Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Gautam at the Final Ceremony Interview: I wanted to win to prove that a Successful Captain is only as good as his team and it's the successful team which makes a Successful Captain and not the other way round... (pretty much what he said, writing from memory) What he said was correct and quite a standard thing to say. It has nothing to do with Dhoni or anybody else. Even Dhoni would have said the same thing. I dont know why some of you are looking something else into this.
Needforspeed Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Something is definitely not well beween the 3 guys.. Could this be one of the reasons of India's failure in Test matches abroad? +1. I think the 0-8 was not just about cricket.
GautiMaan Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Im yet to hear a plausible explanation as to why the vice captaincy was taken away from Gauti.
Needforspeed Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 For a young guy, I feel Gambhir never seems to enjoy his cricket...He always has a bitter grim expression on his face.
Sidhoni Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Full credit to them but Gauti has just become a bit arrogant. He is too ambitious, he has an eye on the national captaincy. And, not a word of appreciation for the opposition :headshake:

velu Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 GG should shut his mouth. Captains can make a best team into a worst one.
