The Outsider Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Time for the number 3 position. Bradman is the front runner here though there are quite a few other great batsmen as well. Like in the previous poll, I am leaving the last slot open to add in later depending on who else people want to add in. Some names which can be included are Kanhai, Younis Khan, Richardson. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?batting_positionmax1=3;batting_positionmin1=3;batting_positionval1=batting_position;class=1;filter=advanced;orderby=batting_average;qualmin1=2000;qualval1=runs;template=results;type=batting
Ultimate_Game Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 It's a "No Contest". Bradman all the way for no. 3. I would have Lara & Richards for the middle order as with Bradman at 3 they can bat at 4 or 5.
Crookbond Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 So the Bradman Samaaj here is worshipping their hero.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 So the Bradman Samaaj here is worshipping their hero. :phehehe:
jairamesh Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 You better have Bradman in the no. 4-6 poll:diablo:, there is no way you can pussy out for the epic battle!!!
Zelig Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Bradman>Richards>Lara>Ponting/Dravid>rest You were in your sixth life when Bradman was playing in his whites :hehe:
Old guy Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 You better have Bradman in the no. 4-6 poll:diablo:' date=' there is no way you can pussy out for the epic battle!!![/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: i think this will save us ......for now u cant have one player in 2 polls
Gambit Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Lara batted at number 4 for most of his innings so he should not be here. Viv can be a contender for number 5 as well where he batted the most in his career.
Old guy Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Lara batted at number 4 for most of his innings so he should not be here. Viv can be a contender for number 5 as well where he batted the most in his career. thts why i didnt voted for them...
Dravid_TheWall Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Bradman as he is the best. Lara is second best batsman ever, he can take 4th spot.
SLICKR392 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Wonder if most of the people who voted for the Don knows who he is rather than just checking out his 99.94 against the same team with a toothless attack.
Shunya Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 maybe u should post the stats of all these players batting at no.3... and i still feel one batsman can be nominated for multiple positions... or atleast make the categories 3 & 4, 5 & 6 if i have to chose one in this list...it will be bradman...
Khalpat Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 maybe u should post the stats of all these players batting at no.3... and i still feel one batsman can be nominated for multiple positions... or atleast make the categories 3 & 4, 5 & 6 if i have to chose one in this list...it will be bradman... At number 3: Bradman Played 56 innings at an avg of 103 Richards Played 59 innings at an avg of 62 Lara Played 66 innings at an avg of 61 Barrington played 40 innings at an avg of 77 Sangkarra played 161 innings at an avg of 57 Ponting played 196 innings at an avg of 56 Dravid played 219 innings at an avg of 53
Khalpat Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Lara batted at number 4 for most of his innings so he should not be here. Viv can be a contender for number 5 as well where he batted the most in his career. Lara averages 51 when batted at number 4 less than even Jayawardene and Miandad. He averaged 62 while batting at number 3. His impact at number 3 is much more than number 4.
The Outsider Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 Just to clarify the likes of Lara, Richards will be included in the middle order poll as well. Added stats guru link to OP.
Stuge Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I gave vote to dravid because I have not seen Breadman batted at that position.
